Sony bravia vpl-aw10 lamp come on runs for 2-3 mins then switches of and lam p cover light flashes 3 time repetedly

check the fans ,
check the cover of the lamp,
there is a siwtch under the cover of the lamp
make sure the switch is on the right place

Three blinks of standby light to Sony TVs indicates that the regulated voltage output from power regulator board is above thatn normal. The problem is with its power supply regulator board. Replace all the electrolytic cpacitors on that board with new ones. Replace all of them including small and large ones, at one time. OK.

When you open the lamp cover for replacement of lamp there is a switch in the projector is OFF
If lamp cover not fix proper after replacement of lamp the lamp/cover indicator flashing
SOLUTION: Open the lamp cover and fix proper and tight the screw

Bulb is not seated correctly of cover is not on correctly.

Check out Display in the menu. There should be an option to disable this display.

you jest reverse the projector and you can see the flat screw loos it and you will rise the loker and pul it up ward and do not touch by your finger the lamp if it is 2000 hours working whit the projector you shuold replace it

what model of Sony is it? On many of the Sony projectors, a 3 flash error code indicates the lamp is not properly seated/installed or the lamp door is not closed properly

3 blinks means lamp cover error

the cover switch is probably not fully made.
Ensure that the cover tangs are pushing the pin
on the miniswitches.
Try putting slight pressure on the fan or lamp cover to see if the lamp/cover light
stops flashing.
you will need to do a restart on the PJ to check this out
