Well yes, the power is OK if the red light is on but what is the real problem?

Hi there , there is a problem at the power supply , There is a component that is not working properly .e.g Capacitor/Transisor, Resistor . Get it checked .

At least the 5 volt is working. But what does the knowledge about the power supply change?
The Audio & Video receiver (Unknown brand and model) is obvious defect. Without enough electronic knowledge and without skills to repair it, it won't bring you anywhere. Did you check everything is connected as it should be? no shortage on the speaker cabling? No extra on / off switch?
Last Amplifier I got on my desk, was "complete defect". The owner / user, had it at least 5 years and did not notice the on / off switch was in the off position. I pressed the button and it worked fine. That was the first time the owner saw that switch, although the words on/off were printed under the switch.

The lack of the red light indicates that either the TV's power-cord is not connected, or that the wall-outlet is not supplying any power (check your circuit-breaker box), or the power-adapter inside the TV has malfunctioned.

Thats caused by a shorted audio circuit. Replacing the K board will solve that issue. You can get the replacement K board from the following link scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the K board listed. They also have installation assistance if you need it.

Why power/stanby blinks light red

how many times does it flash? The back of the manual will usually tell you what the flashes mean. Try this: unplug tv from power. While unplugged, hold the power button in on the TV, not on the remote! Hold for 10 seconds. Replug the power and try to power it up. If you get no picture, you need a repair. Contact the manufacturer for an authorized servicer.

Can't turn on from Stanby mode

I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.
