How do I run F8 on a minolta Di2010?

Imaging unit toner detection failure - during concentration read operation (F8), the result is less than 1v. Replace the developer and retry the F8 procedure.

The machine may not need toner have you replaced the developer before running the F8. Not good to run F8 with out new developer. Where the counters cleared before replacing the developer.

The error is quite clear, contact your service provider and ask them to change it for you, or you can buy the imaging unit as well as the developer and do it yourself if you know how to run the toner density settings and aidc settings.

Have you replaced the developer and drum. If you have did you clear the counters first! Machine works on the information the counters provide if you put new stuff in the machine and do not clear the counters first, the machine works and say's I have old stuff in me increase/decrease as required certain voltages, when you really have new stuff in there copy quality issues and codes. IF you did do it correctly the sensor below the image unit mite be bad, worse case the board the sensor feeds is bad. Once the developer was replaced did you run F8 in service mode. Also does the control panel say replace PC drum then you need new developer and PC drum.

Change the chip or enter in service mode and change the imaging unit life duration to long life.The copier displayed continuosly Please change the image unit,press OK and ignore.

How to change imaging unit: Open the right door (R1), and you will see two green hooks, pull them out with care to remove the imaging unit installed; replace the new imaging unit and run F8.

Recommend you get a Konica Minolta Tech to do it. It is not easy. requires Cleaning blade, drum and developer, must have access to copier service mode clear certain counters and run required procedures such as F8, or will get codes and image problems. Have him do it and watch you will see.

I had the same problem. Check out page 3-308 of this document.
Take off the side cover and re-engage the gear. Should solve the problem.
