We can not locate our owners manual and would like to obtain the code number to enter when we call our home phone to obtain messages when out of town. (the model # is 82209)

Hi there, I hope this helps you.  I located the manual for the 1717.  It states that the remote access code is factory set at 123.  You can review the remote access code by pressing and releaseing setup.

You can change the Remote Access Code

to any three digit number from 100 to 999.

1 Press and hold S. After the Ring

Select setting is announced, continue

to press and release S until the

system announces the current Remote

Access Code.

2 Press and release or

until the system announces the first

digit you want.

3 Press and release S to select the

announced digit.

4 Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the second

and third digits of the code.

5 Press P to exit

You can get a copy of the 1717 manual at this web site:  http://www.retrevo.com/samples/AT%26T-page-2-manuals.html

I hope all this helps you.  Good luck.   Barb

I have the phonemate 2970 answering machine/phone and satellite extension phone. When I turn the sat phone on I get a series of beeps and the HOLD light flashes for about 6 times then shuts down. I...

1. Remove the AC adapter plug from the back of the base unit (not from the wall); leave tel cord connected.

2. While holding down the "set code" button under the cassette lid, plug the ac adapter back into the base. The screen will then display some numbers (110) etc.

3. Hold down the HANDSET keys 1 and 2 simultaneously and then press the speaker button on top within 20 seconds.

4. Press any 3 digits on the handset i.e. 1-2-3.

5. After hearing a BEEP from the handset and base, press 2 on the handset. The base should then say "twenty-five", and the handsets will beep, confirming the new security code is enabled. Press talk or speaker on handset to confirm communication.

6. The time/day stamp and remote access code will be cleared.

7. Best to do this with the answering mach turned off.

8. Restart this procedure if anything goes wrong (may hear a series of error beeps).

I saved my manual and in it I had a fax Casio sent me with these instructions (i had this prob a few times years ago). Good luck!

How do you remotely access casio phonemate TA-116

Look on the underside of the unit. You will see a three (3) digit number. When you remotely call your number and the answering maching picks up, immediately input the 3 digit number. The answering maching will then play the new messages for you.

Access voicemail from another line while away from home

The previous solution only works for older machines. I have the same Panasonic model and this works every time.
On your handset, hit the top center button(menu). Touch the arrow down button 7 times. Should say "Initial settings". Hit top right button on handset (display shows this is now the "select" key). Display now shows "Set Answering". Hit top right button again ( select key). Display now reads "Ring Count". Hit arrow down button 2 times. Display now reads "Remote Code". Hit select key again and enter your desired 2 digit remote code. Hit "Off" key. When you call the answering machine from the road, simply enter those same digits. Piece of cake. Enjoy.
