SOURCE: Uniden CXA15198 not showing caller id

Had a similar issue with a brand new DECT2035 uniden phone, displaying incoming call not caller ID.

Checked my old uniden phone, and it was receiving CID. So I connected my DECT2035 to that line and then lo and behold I got my CID.
After further investigation I found that CID on my dect phone wont work if its using a shared filter (ie. adsl/phone splitter). Had to find an unfiltered splitter and then just put a phone filter (that I got with my adsl modem) onto the line that is directly connecting the phone. and then WOOHOO I have caller ID.

Hope this helps you... I got my wife a little cranky over this one cos it took me over an hour and a half to try and sus this one out =)

How to block an incoming call on landline vtech wireless phone

If you subscribe to Caller ID service, your phone can block calls from up to 20 specific phone numbers. This is called the BLOCK LIST. It can also block any call that does not provide a phone number with the Caller ID. This is called CALLS WITHOUT NUMBERS. In either case, the caller will hear a busy signal, and the call will be disconnected.

To add phone numbers to the BLOCK LIST:
When the phone is idle, press MENU/SELECT.
Press VOLUME? until you see Call Block, then press MENU/SELECT.
Block list is displayed. Press MENU/SELECT.
Press VOLUME? until you see Add new entry, then press MENU/SELECT.
Enter the complete phone number of the party you wish to block, then press MENU/SELECT.
Enter the name of the party, then press MENU/SELECT.

To activate the CALLS WITHOUT NUMBERS feature:
When the phone is idle, press MENU/SELECT.
Press VOLUME? until you see Call Block, then press MENU/SELECT.
Press VOLUME? until you see Calls w/o num, then press MENU/SELECT.
Press VOLUME? until you see Block, then press MENU/SELECT. All calls without a phone number will be blocked.

How do I get names to come up when getting incoming calls?

Do you subscribe to Caller ID - Name? Some telcos offer name display separately from number display (for extra $$, of course). Call your telco and/or check your billing equipment record, or try with a different phone on the same line (one that displays names elsewhere) to confirm that the name info is present.

On my Uniden Cordless Tru9380 Series phone, how do I use caller ID ? please give deailed instructions as I've had it for 4 days & still cannot figure out how to do it. Help will be greatly...

Caller ID with Call Waiting is available by subscription from your Telephone provider. With this service, you will be able to view incoming caller information while on a call with another user.

This will allow you the ability to select to talk to this user and put your existing party on hold or make the decision to ring them back.

But, you must contact your Telephone provider and subscribe to the service.

Here is the link for the User Guide: http://www.uniden.com/pdf/TRU9380-4om.pdf

Remember, If you subscribe to Caller ID from your phone company, your phone will show you the caller's phone number and name (if available) whenever a call comes in. If you subscribe to both Call Waiting and Caller ID, the phone also shows you the name and the number of any call that comes in while you're on the line.

Caller i.d. doesn't work piece of junk

Please download this manual, and study e.g on page 21 About caller ID If you subscribe to caller ID service from your local telephone company, this feature displays the name and telephone number of the caller before answering a call (even when you are on another call). The caller ID features of this product will work only if you subscribe to caller ID service and both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use compatible equipment. Contact your local telephone company if: • you have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services (you may need combined service), • you have only caller ID service, or only call waiting service, • you do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting services but wish to try them. There may be fees for these services, and they may not be available in all areas. This product can be used without subscribing to either caller ID or combined caller ID with call waiting service, although the caller ID features of this product will not function.

Caller id is not working

If the caller ID in displaying "Incoming call" either you have not subscribed to the service (caller ID to be pushed to your phone) or you are using a US type phone in UK type countries.
There is also a possibility of Caller ID memory in your phone full, in case it does not overwrite last records by new ones.

How do I view caller ID?

The KX-T7731 is a proprietary system phone. You have a Panasonic phone system. Caller ID is transmitted between the first and second ring but the phone system itself is the only part that gets this information. The system has to be compatible for caller ID and it has to collect the caller ID data and send this information to your phone(s). Your phone can be used on many different Panasonic phone systems. The phone's part number does not help you. First thing you need to do is find out what system you have and if it has caller ID. The phone system part number should start with KXT like your phone.

Caller ID

Does this happen with all calls, or just some? It sounds like an issue with your service provider. Don't just go off of your phone bill, call in and submit a trouble ticket/service call. They might give you the run around, but firm and remind them that you are the customer, and they need to take care of you. Insist that they send a tech out, and have the tech show you that the caller id is working. Also, if you or a friend have one of those caller ID boxes, plug that into the phone jack and call your number from a cell phone. That will show you if you truly have caller ID.
