Chromecast not working

if you don't have a smart tv you'll have to get a casting device like chromecast or roku. chromecast lets you send your videos from your phone to your tv with apps like netflix and youtube.

Hi there, fastest way to determine this is by using your smartphone and through settings/Bluetooth, search for available devices. If it shows up, then you're good. This all depends on whether the tv is set to 'findable'. elsewise, I would review the tv's menus settings.

I take it that you are using Chrome browser to watch Netlix.
If that is the case, then go tot he Chrome webstore, and look for Cast (it should give you various options), choose the one from Google.
One install in Chrome, reboot your Chromecast. Try it with YouTube first, if it works, it should work with Netflix. Both, PC and Chromecast must be on the same network.
