Dometec Briskair Duo-Therm Compressor won't quit running

My duo therm brisk air roof mount ac unit compressor quit cycling on and off the other day. Now it stays on until the internal temp of my RV is approx 61 degrees. There is alot of dust in this area, could that be causing the thermostat to malfunction? If so, how can I fix it.

Have you taken return air filter grille down at ceiling assy, & cleaned filter with dish soap & warm water? Check & see if you see little probe sticking out in behind there, and wipe it carefully as well, and make sure it's lined up to sense air flowing through there. Take a flashlight & look up into coils at front for lots of dust on them as well. Perhaps a thorough cleaning of all coils is in order if you say there's lots of dust, as choking airflow off with dust & dirt, will only shorten life of unit & use more hydro than necessary.

What is wrong with my RV ac unit ?

Low freon switch prevent the compressor from running when there is not enough freon to carry the oil to lubricate it. There is almost always enough pressure to start it but as soon as it's running low pressure drops and the compressor stops.

Duo therm ac in my rv quit when the converter burned up does the ac need 12v to work?

there is a fuse located under the shroud on the roof AC on a circuit board that controls the thermostat to turn on the power to the Air Conditioner replace it it is marked F-1 or, on some F-2 etc.
the air conditioner works on both DC voltage for the thermostat and AC voltage for the compressor
