I have given it out to a repair man who said that the main board was damaged and he has to replace it. He purchased the main board and now the screen is white and he is saying another board in the tv is also damaged and that has caused the scree to not come on. When he got the tv it was just flicking from one channel to the next but not selecting any
Buy a new tv
Testimonial: "Thing is I took the tv out on hire purchase and I am of the opinion that the damage to the tv was not due to water entering it because the angle of the antenna cord attachment on the back of the tv could not permit water to enter through that tiny hole where the cable cord needle enters. The tv was ok up to the night and in the morning it started to just flick through the channels and I took it in to the shop. They gave it out and according to a technician said it had signs of water entering and damaging the board and I was asked to cover the cost of it. I decided to do it and then after being carried around the bushes for months (while still paying the installments) I am told that its not the board that was damaged but the screen not good and they are not taking it on. I took them to the consumer affairs commission and since then they have called me to say that the technician said the board that is attached to the screen is damaged. I have another tv of a similar brand right where that one was, using the same antenna/cable cord and we have had terrible rains and nothing has gone bad, plus the tv that was there was before the one am having issue with was there for over five years was the big back Sharp tv and no water has entered that one and yet the back was only covered by a case with lots of line spaces. I just want to know if what they are saying is possible so telling me to buy a tv doesn't answer my question, I am dealing with a matter of principles here"
