Check eBay. I've been working on computers for years and order ALL of my replacement keyboards through eBay. I just found 9 of them after entering your model number; about $16 with free shipping. Sarawill82 hit the nail on the head for the replacement; you tube is your friend if you're doing it yourself. If it doesn't have your exact laptop, look at other videos. It will give you an idea what you need to look for to replace the keyboard.

It beats paying a computer store a $45+ bench fee, and it will only take you about 15 minutes as a novice.

Don't try to clean it; you could cause more extensive damage than just replacing the keyboard.

SOURCE: find replacement keycaps for toshiba satellite laptop

You can get replacement keys from this company that i used a few months back when i lost two of my keys.They sell genuine keys with their retainer plastic pieces for just $5.
Browse through your brand name, model number and order your required key. It’s that simple. The best part is, you can repair your broken keys yourself by watching the video tutorials on the website.

SOURCE: how to clean keyboard keys of toshiba laptop

The best way is to use compressed air to blow the stuff from between the keys then use a paper towel or lint free cloth and spray a little Windex on it and wipe the keys down while to computer is turned off. If you have spilled liquid in the keyboard there is no easy way to clean that up.

How do you remove the keyboard on a Sony Vaio laptop PCG-7192L

Let's see if this helps Tom,

1) http://laptoppartstore.weebly.com/replace--remove-sony-vaio-vgn-nw-keyboard.html

2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BEcX_0KYIE

The Keyboard Cable STAYS attached to the Keyboard.
It disconnects FROM the motherboard's connector.

The Keyboard Cable has NO connector on the end. It is a FFC.
Flat Flex Cable.
One example of a Flat Flex Cable,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flat-Flex-Cable.jpg

The flat metal terminal bars MUST be aligned back in the SAME position, as they were originally.
For this reason you may wish to take a Sharpee marker, and make a mark on one side of the cable.
Then make a matching mark on the same side of the motherboard connector, BEFORE you remove the cable.

The motherboard connector is a type of ZIF connector.
Zero Insertion Force.
It is composed of two pieces, but does NOT come completely apart!

The bottom part is larger, rectangular shaped, and is stationary to the motherboard.
It is the BODY.

The upper part is smaller, rectangular shaped, and is movable.
It is the Locking Bar.

ACCORDING to the video the Locking Bar is the Slide/Wedge type.

DO NOT use a metal tool as shown. One slip, and you can damage the motherboard! Geez!

Use your Fingernails, or Thumbnails.

The Locking Bar slides up. Up towards the LCD screen, or away from the Body.
It ONLY moves about 2mm. That is a little larger than 1/16th of an Inch.

IF, the Locking Bar is broken, or the Body, you are looking at
-> MOTHERBOARD REPLACEMENT!!

Hence why I am being so detailed.

More detail on unlocking this type of motherboard ZIF connector,

A) Locked position;

B) Unlocked position;

http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-C650-C655/body-big/disassemble-toshiba-c655-12.jpg

There is another style of Locking Bar used, however.
The Locking Bar flips up to a 90 degree position, or also can be stated as Straight Up.

Just to make sure I'm going to include info for it too;

A) Locked position

B) Unlocked position;

The keyboard will more than likely need to be replaced, there are no user servicable parts. Go to www.ebay.com type make and model of laptop, refine search to keyboard.

Hook a external keyboard, if okay! problem with the laptop keyboard. Try a system restore and bring the computer back to a earlier time before this happened, just might work. The keyboard can be disabled from the bios setting I don't see how it can be done any other way.

Toshiba Satellite C655-S5125 -

The Toshiba Satellite has a helpful program -- the Toshiba Wireless Manager -- to eliminate some of that frustration. Connecting to a wireless network using the built-in wireless usb wifi adapter on a Toshiba Satellite may require making some initial changes to the Satellite's settings. These changes can be made using the Toshiba Wireless Manager. As with all wireless networking, the settings of the laptop must match the settings of the network.

How do I replace the keyboard?

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all.
