Dear
You can check which accept the PG-640 ink cart.

Check to remove the error code on net.

Also you can search on net how to reset for the error code E14 which indicate non-compatible catr. (not genuine fine cart.)
Thanks.
SOURCE: Canon mx700 rejecting remanufactured ink cartridges
big issue with remanufacturing is how integritous is the fit of the cartridge, and also the interface. When these are re cut, so to speak, tolerances can stack up, and one thing about Canon, is they are a stickler for tolerances. You may have an issue with the cartridge fitting in the carriage, but not interfacing with the system. Happens sometimes..
got backup?
SOURCE: printer won't accept cartridge
i sure u buy wrong cartridge for your MP450...if u want higher quality, u should buy CL-51 cartridge for colour and CL-50 for black..
fyi, CL-52 can only suitable for IP6210D / IP6220D printer. u can see yourself at this link :

hope this help... ; )
SOURCE: the following cartridge cannot been recognized
There's something wrong with the connectors for the control chip on the cartridge - maybe they are dirty or bent out of shape. Or the chip itself is faulty. Or the cartridge isn't genuine (or was refilled) and the chip isn't recognized.
