Read the compatibility list on the box or in the manual. My very expensive Creative labs Quickcam Sphere, could be used under XP. The first upgrade to Win7 it worked, but after a few upgrades, only the cam works, the rest, like turn, zoom and so on, won't.
If Creative labs does not write a Microsoft compliant driver it can't be used in the newer Windows. Nobody told you, you also should replace your hardware after you did an update, but I'm afraid you won't get any driver for the newer windows versions.
