i would never suggest working or attempting to work on a machine covered by guarantee but this sounds like there is a fault with the heat cycle, obviously the machine keeps tumbling until the heat reaches the right temperature, with a heat fault it will not advance, to test without removing screws etc, press any heat option button like economy or turn heat dial to no heat etc, see what happens next. hope i have helped, if so rate me please, please note most engineers know if a machine of that age has been worked on and this will void any guarantee

Do you have the "easy iron" feature on? If so, the clothes will stay in water until you manually rinse it.

My washer front load rubber at the door has pulled away and the wire with spring has come out. the rubber is not torn and i put it back in but i dont know were the wire gos

If you are referring to the wire hoop with a small spring, this is the front bellow clamp. The bellow is the rubber door seal. Around the perimeter of the seal where it attaches to the door frame, is a small groove in the rubber. Make sure the rubber bellow is properly seated around the door frame opening, then the wire hoop inserts into the groove in the rubber to hold the front of the bellow affixed to the door frame. Without it and the bellow will eventually come loose and the washer will leak. To reinstall, just follow these steps:

1. Make sure the bellow is firmly seated all the way around the perimeter of the door frame.

2. Begin inserting the wire hoop into the groove, starting at the twelve o' clock position.

3. Work your way around the four and eight o'clock positions. While maintaining some downward pressure to keep the hoop inserted in the groove, pull the spring apart and snap the wire hoop back in place.

A second set of hands may come in handy to hold the hoop in position to get it reseated. Make sure the wire hoop ends up at the 6 o'clock position when you are complete.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Overloading the washer with heavy items can contribute to premature wear on the bellow and can cause the clamps to come loose.

The Rubber seal came out and a metal ring came out with it. I got the rubber seal back in,but the I'm not sure about the metal ring. It looks like it's got a little spring thing on the bottom of it.

The rubber seal you are referring to is called the bellow. It seals the front of the wash tub to the door frame. The wire hoop is the front bellow clamp. If the bellow is not damaged, you can reinsert the clamp by following these steps:

1. Install the bellow back over the frame of the door opening ensure you fit it snugly all the way around the opening.

2. Beginning at the top of the door, start inserting the wire hoop back into the groove that is in the rubber fold of the bellow behind the door opening.

3. Make sure to wire spring points towards the 6 o'clock position and begin inserting the wire hoop into the bellow groove.

4. As you work your way around the door to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, you will need to maintain some constant downward pressure while pulling the spring apart in order to snap it back into place.

It may be advisable to use a second set of hands to hold the wire hoop in place while doing this as it has the tendency to want to come out of the groove.

If you inspect the bellow and it is ripped or torn, you will need to replace it or the washer will leak. The following link explains how:

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions.

NOTE: There is another method you may try as well. Although I do not prefer this next method because these washing machines are very heavy, an alternative way of replacing the door bellow is to remove the lower toe panel and tilt the washer back at a 45 degree angle instead of removing the washer front panel. If you use this method, make sure it rests against the wall and will not tip forward. This allows the wash tub to drop down and away from the front panel and gives you access to the the rear bellow clamp through the bottom. This can save you some time. Thanks to user DGBG for the helpful tip.

If you would like some helpful exploded view diagrams of your washer that you can reference, you can use any of these web sites:

Just use your model number to begin your search criteria.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: These door seals do wear out and require replacement from time to time. However, overloading the washer to the point where items get caught in the door area can contribute to premature wear and tear.

Kenmore HE3 washer leaking all over the floor! Only 6months-1 year old!!

You will need to remove the lower kick panel directly below the door to gain access to the inside cabinet to see where the leak may be coming from. The panel comes off by removing the screws under the bottom front edge of the panel. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then come off.

NOTE: Propping the two front feet of the washer up with something (a 2x4 works well for this) will give you better access to the screws.

The most common source of leakage on this washer is the rubber bellow around the door. It can develop cracks or tears over time and require replacement. A tell-tale sign is the front counterweight (looks like a concrete block on the front of the wash tub) looking wet. The counterweight will remain dry if the tub is sealed properly. From the inside of the washer, pull the rubber folds back on the door bellow and inspect the perimeter for any rips or tears. If the bellow is damaged, it must be replaced. The following link epxlains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385210-replacing_door_bellow_kenmore_elite

If the bellow is intact, check the rear bellow seal where it connects to the front of the wash tub. If the clamp comes loose the bellow can shift and begin to leak. Tighten if necessary.

Check the drain pump and hoses to ensure they are not leaking. The drain pump is directly in the front under the wash tub.

Check the area directly below the wash tub. If the leak is coming from the wash tub iteself, you may have a bad tub seal. A replacement gasket doesn't cost much at all, but the labor involved is extensive.

Another simple problem is the dispenser tube(s) that come through the door bellow. Sometimes, these small tubes will work their way behind the rubber in the door and leak when the washer attempts to fill or rinse. This is a simple matter of adjusting the tubes to ensure they are seated through the door gasket properly.

If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Replace Bellow seal duet washer GHW9100LW1

Unplug the washer. With the door open, look at the bottom of the seal. You'll see a ring clamp. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp. Peel the seal inward. It is easier to complete the seal swap with the front off. Remove the door and set aside. Locate the screws for the front of the machine and remove them, gaining access to the seal. Youcan either set the door to the side with the door lock wires still attached, or unclip them, which is easier. With the seal folded inward, you will likely find another clamp at the bottom. Loosen this as well. Remove the seal and replace with the new one, making sure to orient it like the old one was, and fold it to the inside like you had the old one for removal. Replace the front panel. Complete the seal installation, being careful to make sure that the clamp removed earlier gets put back in the groove and seats well. Reinstall the door.

Door seal needs to be replaced

For most front-loaders:
Plug off the wall mains. Remove the plastic clamp holding the seal to cabinet & peel off the cabinet. Push downwards on the seal close to the tub & the seal will come off - it's just held by a spring on the periphery.
Lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid. Starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the slot on the seal. Work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot on the tub flange. When slot is on the flange all way round, fit the spring which holds it on. The spring goes into a slot on the outside of the seal. This is quite difficult and you may need another pair of hands. Fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring.
Test for leaks before using. Use rinse to test as the water level is higher.
(There is no glue anywhere, only clamps, etc)
