What's your operating system?The Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 is compatible with this operating systems:

• Windows 7 [32&64 bit]
  
• Windows vista [32&64 bit]
• Windows XP including service pack 2 and onwards.[32 bit only]
  

You can easily download the LifeCam drivers for the above operating systems from www.microsoft.com site.
For a complete and detailed user guide click on download on the user guide maual option.

You can download the drivers for the webcam from the links mentioned below
Windows XP (32 Bit) LifeCam 3.5 32-bit for Windows XP SP2 or higher (excluding 64-bit)
Windows XP (64 Bit)
LifeCam 2.04 for Windows XP 64-bit
Windows Vista (32 & 64 Bit) LifeCam 3.5 32-bit and 64-bit for Windows Vista
Windows 7 (32 & 64 Bit) LifeCam 3.5 32-bit and 64-bit for Windows 7
Simply download the driver and run the setup it will install your camera, if it does not detect the camera , disconnect the camera and plug in again and it will load the drivers

Have you installed it on your XP computer? If not then you need to run the install CD.

you need drivers for windows vista in order to work, you can get the driver from here

There's no driver or independent software to use with this cam. It has to be used with other software like windows or yahoo live messenger, AIM or skype, etc

I have the exact same problem, I can use it in skype but as soon as I try Yahoo! Messanger (Bloody Vist Home basic dosn't run Windows) it is unrecognized same with the computer if you look at My Computer it isn't there?? I think it is the whole plug and play thing?? Anyone else got the same problem?

cano't instal my microsoftware cd in my vista pc it was working well windos xp please solve me this problem i can use other model micro soft lifecam software it will work please help me
