I have my old Microsoft Office 2003 Professional recently my PC was collected by the PC shop & complete new install of everything office included. It was working fine when it returned but for some reason every page has turned into a Royal Blue Page I cannot find how to revert this or what caused this, No Error report plus I set-up A password for safe keeping but it no longer will recognise the password even though I have the correct password. I use this for very useful letters & as I am Disabled Anyone who can give me the answer I would appreciate very much, Version (11.8411.8405) SP3. Many Thanks, Malcolm.
Malcolm, what exactly do you mean by "royal blue page"? Will your documents still print correctly? It's possible the computer shop turned on one of the Microsoft Windows accessibility options to help you see the screen better, and it is affecting your Microsoft Word.
Testimonial: "Thanks for your Reply, When it came back from the shop everything was how it should have been IE: White paper & to update this further i have just installed my outlook onto my PC as they never had the settings & now my Outlook pages are all royal Blue this was not the case when the shop brought my PC back I do not know what to do I cannot send E-Mails all on Royal (Darkish) Blue yes it writes onto the page in white but the cursor blinks in yellow I know that if you wish to highlight something that is normally yellow & I know you can change that colour as well the colour if you use The Whole page is Blue & my outlook the top address & Subject is white but below where you type your message is Royal Blue rather like the U/K Navy Blue is the best way to describe the page colour in full. Anyone I would be most grateful for advice please as I need to write some important mails as I have been of the internet for Three weeks now & something I ordered has been done wrong but I cannot write to them in royal blue they would think I am mad especially as they are in Germany. Many Thanks, to everyone. crossf"
Malcolm,
Word 2003 has a feature for easier readability that turns the background of the text editing area to blue and the font color to white. The idea is that this will help reduce eye strain. I don't have Word 2003, so I can't check the exact menu names, but try this:
From the Tools menu, choose Options, then click the General tab.
Unselect the "Blue background, white text" check box.
To save this environmental change, close Word and then restart it. (From File, choose Exit, save any documents you want to keep, then restart as you usually do.)
I don't know how to change the settings in Outlook, but I suspect the menu path will be very similar. In any case, this color change IS ONLY VISIBLE ON YOUR COMPUTER. If you print a document or send an email, the page will just have black letters on it, the email will appear normal to the recipient.
You could check this by sending an email to a friend or relative.
Best wishes, Laurie
I have tried to Repair my office set up With MY Genuine Disc but I know now what is the problem I set a password & it was wrote down but when I try to open any.Doc it ask's for password but when I put Certain proper positive password it say's it is wrong I know it's correct 100%, as is my Microsoft disk, which it came in as well I know it's legal as I let Microsoft check everything on my PC, I am not afraid to go into the Registry but I need to know what I have to look for & what to replace or Delete OfficeAngel may have hit on the answer but if you know what I need to do in Registry that would be great What I have been doing is write it in Wordpad then past into Blue Word check spell then paste back into word & print out from wordpad I must try to see if it will print out from Word.
