I have a Whirlpool Drier LTE5243DQ3 Serial number ML3002284 & no heat when turned on. Do I need to replace the Element or is there a fuse inside the cabinet?

This machine is part of a combination washer & drier on a Yacht so 110/120 volt. Very rarely used. Washing machine is fine. Drier spins but no heat.

How to fix Whirlpool duet dryer runs but does not heat?

The element is broken, you can pick up a replacement from any wholesaler of plumbing/electrical/appliance parts. Otherwise, there could also be an in-line fuse. if you look up your appliance on the internet ( a silver sticker on the lip or groove around the perimeter of the door has the serial number and model number) you can search the exact model number and find the manual, and then see if an in-line fuse exists. Otherwise, replace the heating element

Working but air is cold. The drum is turning but there is no heat - so clothes are not drying

your element on the electric drier has burnt out and will need replacement. This element is usually located at the bottom left or right side of the drier. It will need to have the back removed to get to it.
Take model and serial #'s to a parts house for proper replacement

My dryer only blowing cold airwhats wrong

the heating elements that dry the clothes is more than likely burnt out. If the drier turns on and the clothes tumble then the element is the only other possible reason for the drier not to heat up. This element is in the bottom of the drier and can be accessed through the removal of the back panel. It will more than likely be in a square metal box. It isn't hard to replace as you will see but you will need to take the model and serial #'s to an appliance parts house for the proper replacement part.

Good luck hope this helped

No heat in our Whirlpool Dryer Model LTE5243DQ3. Tested both fuses and all the wires have power. Still there is no heat. The parts tested were 3398128 and 3404154. Are we missing somthing?

There is what's called a high limit in dryers. It protects the unit in case of over heating. It usually is small, has 2 wires connected to it. Check continuity. Or' check your heating element for breakage, or continuity.

Drier shuts off

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a

motor centrifulgal switch, in the element

circuit, that the motor closes to insure

the motor is turning. Try another heat

setting. There is more than one

thermostat. You may have blown the

'thermal fuse' too, which requires

replacement. The elecment has a contact in

the 'timer'circuit too.

It is possible that your element has

failed also.

Tripped high limit. Must clean the lint

filter and the exhaust vent tube and all

the way in to the dryer. Hot air exit is

restricted.

you either need a new heating element or limit switches

Whirlpool drier has no heat and won't shut off . . .

it was most likely caused by the timer not turning off and burning out the heating element or a temperature switch or tripping one side of the circuit breaker in the house. it really needs to be checked out by a professional. unless it is old then you might want to replace it.
  • best case scenario:
  • the breaker has tripped (turn it off then back on to find out)
  • the TIMER MOTOR is the only problem <$30
If the timer itself is bad then it will cost a lot more.
