Where do you put the wi fi card on a dell inspiron 1505

Either that or the ethernet chip on the motherboard is failing - you will need to disable this one from the BIOS and install a simple PCI LAN card in its place

You can use any Dell WIFI cards made for this model or for the 1505 model computer. Do a search on eBay for the 1505 wifi cards.

firstly youi bought a connectioin from bsnl
after activation you should able to connect wi-fi

check the connectivity again by assigning static IP Address to your DELL.. if problem occurs, clean install the drivers and dell Wifi software to your laptop.. Virus problem also results in this type of problem..

First of all make sure you have the most up to date driver for your wireless card from the manifacturer..

I suggest removing the battery, leaving the laptop on ac power and resetting so see if you get anything on the display.

find switch on laptop it is wi fi network adapter switch on laptop turn on it.
Then also check your wi fi drivers are installed.

then install wi fi then check.

Motherboard failure, you can buy one on Ebay for about $100.
To confirm, remove RAM, Drives, battery and wireless cards, see if the LED indications change. If no change, then the MB is confirmed bad. If they change, add 1 RAM module back, see if the system will post enough to get into BIOS. If it does, add other RAM module. Keep adding items, (Wireless, battery, CD Drive, then HDD) and ID the one causing the failure.
