Router disconnects computers from wifi requiring router reset

I have this router set up perfectly, tried all various options, yet it still keeps booting wireless devices from it requiring a restart of the modem to allow the devices access to it again. How the hell am I supposed to stop this?

Go to settings and connection type and check maximum idle time is not highlighted! Sounds like it is timed to disconnect after a time limit from your description!

Testimonial: "Working a job and the owners have been saying they have been resetting the router since they've got it. As for the ISP I've not no clue at the momebt I will have to let you k ow tomorrow."

Nope, that was the first thing I checked, tried, and failed. Good answer though.

Ok! Is this a new router or has it been working and just started doing this? Also what is your ISP setting connection type set on?

My Packard Bell T1000 keeps disconnecting from wifi. Can you help?

Hi, try this:

1. Try and restart the tablet. Sometimes it is that simple.

2. Update the firmware and any apps that need updating on the tablet.

3. If the problem persists, check your time and date on the tablet to make sure it is correct.

4. Should none of the former work...
a. Clear out the WiFi data on the tablet.
b. Reboot the modem/router.
c. Once the modem/router is fully 'up' again, reboot the tablet and re-input the WiFi data.

5. Check your internet connection. It may be what is going in and out rather than the tablet.

6. Make sure you have "Data" turned off on the device when using "WiFi" (that is if you have a plan with data through your tablet). If you don't make sure it is turned off, the device can keep trying to switch to "Data" when you try and use "WiFi".

7. Now, if you are still having the problem at this point, and you are sure it isn't the modem/router that is the problem. Then you may wish to try a "Hard Reset" of the device. However, I really suggest saving this as a last option (or last before parts repair/replacement).

I am using belkin N150. F9J1001v1. WiFi is disconnecting frequently. When I restarting it ,it works again. But 15-30 min again it disconnect. Looks like every time I need to restart the router. advise

1. Try resetting the router. You will have to set it back up after.
2. Update any firmware - go to Belkin's site, or there may be an option in the router's control page/application to check for and apply any updates.
3. The router itself may just be going bad and need replacing. It happens after a while.

Login password reset

if you know your old password, login to router and go to administrtion or maintanane (normally comming administration option) and you can see there is an option to change password.
if yo dont know your password, you need to reset your router manually by pressing reset button on router (check back or sides) by doing this process you need to reconfigure internet connection and wifi settings, so before you done you should keep internet connection details (username and password by internet provider) and wifi settings.

Hope this helpfull.

you probably want to access you router, right ? Your router has a standard passwort set yhich should be written under your router ( depends on which router u use ). If u changed it you can reset your router to factory settings and then reenter it and it should work. (you have to look up how to reset your router because i dont know what kind youre using ) Resettin will also reset wifi passwort / name and ever other options u might have changed beforehand.

Linksys RV042 10/100 4 port vpn router keeps dropping connections. Is there a fix I have spent a lot of money with various poeple to help and no fix yet.

The problem with the router firmware can cause various disconnection issues. For solving these issues you have to reset your wireless router to its factory default settings. Do not forget to configure a new password after you have reset your router, otherwise anyone will be able to use your network. Also, ensure that you remove all the malware infections from your computer.
