How to Configure the Traffic Statistics Function on S2700&S3700&S5700?

Assume that the statistics on ping packets from 10.1.1.0/24 need to be collected on the interface Ethernet0/0/1 or GigabitEthernet0/0/1. The configuration is as follows:
# Configuration the acl rule.
[HUAWEI] acl number 3333 [HUAWEI-acl-adv-3333] rule 5 permit icmp source 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 [HUAWEI-acl-adv-3333] quit # Configuration the traffic classifier.
[HUAWEI] traffic classifier test [HUAWEI-classifier-test] if-match acl 3333 [HUAWEI-classifier-test] quit
# Configuration the traffic behavior:
[HUAWEI] <strong>traffic behavior test</strong> [HUAWEI-behavior-test] <strong>statistic enable</strong> [HUAWEI-behavior-test] <strong>quit</strong>
# Configuration the traffic policy.
[HUAWEI] traffic policy test [HUAWEI-trafficpolicy-test] classifier test behavior test [HUAWEI-trafficpolicy-test] quit # Apply the traffic policy:
  • # Apply the traffic policy test to the S2700 or S3700. [HUAWEI] <strong>interface ethernet0/0/1</strong> [HUAWEI-Ethernet0/0/1] <strong>traffic-policy test inbound</strong>
  • # Apply the traffic policy test to the S5700. [HUAWEI] <strong>interface gigabitethernet0/0/1</strong> [HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] <strong>traffic-policy test inbound</strong>

After the configuration, run the display traffic policy statistics interface interface-type interface-number command to view the traffic statistics. To re-collect traffic statistics, run the reset traffic policy statistics interface interface-type interface-number command to clear existing traffic statistics first.
NOTE:
  • The S2700 or S3700 can collect statistics only on incoming packets.
  • The S5700 can collect statistics on incoming and outgoing packets, but cannot collect statistics on packets sent from its own CPU.

Does the S5700SI Support Statistics on Jumbo Frames?

The forwarding chip does not support statistics on Jumbo frames, so the display interface command on the S5700SI does not display statistics on Jumbo frames. So as the S5700-52C-PWR-SI.

How to use the statistics

Scientific calculator
The most basic scientific calculator can do simple 1-variable statistics. Usually you put the calculator in STATistics Mode, then CLEAR all statistics data that may already be stored.
You enter a data value by typing in the number then pressing a key marked DATA. The calculator may display the number 1 for the 1st point. Then as you enter more values, the display shows number that increase by 1.
Once you finish entering data values, you may have to press AC button to exit the data entry phase.
Then you look for the second function (2nd 2ndF, or SHIFT) of some keys. The one marked with an x with a bar on top give the average, the one with marked n give the number of data entered. You may have other keys with the Greek Capital Letter SIGMA. They give various results such as sum of squares, etc. Check your manual for more details.
Newer calculators allow you to use the frequency if there are repeated values. I cannot say more because I do n ot have the make and model of the calculator.

I can't seem to get my calculator into statistics mode. could you please explain it very clear. i must be mising something. i have a texas instrument calculator(Ti-30xA).thank you.

The TI-30Xa does not have a statistics mode. That statistics operations are available at all times, just like addition and subtraction. Just enter the data with Sigma-plus and then calculate the desired statistics---mean, standard deviation, and so forth.

Full details are in the "One-Variable Statistics" section of the guidebook (page 9 in my copy). If you need the guidebook, you can download one from

How do i solve standard deviation with this calculator

The stdDev( function in the LIST MATH menu will calculate the standard deviation of a list. You can provide a second list if the data is grouped.

For detailed information refer to the "Lists", "Statistics", and "Infererential Statistics and Distribution" chapters in the guidebook. If you've misplaced your guidebook you can download a copy from

Finding the mean of a list of variables

Use the mean() function in the MATH/Statistics menu to find the mean of a list. For example, mean({1,2,3,4,5}) will produce 3. Likewise, if the list {1,2,3,4,5} is stored in the variable z, mean(z) will also produce 3. You can also specify a second argument to mean() to specify a frequency list for groupd statistics.

For full details, refer to the "Statistics and Data Plots" chapter in the guidebook. If you've misplaced your guidebook, you can download a copy from http://education.ti.com/educationportal/downloadcenter/SoftwareList.do?website=US&tabId=2&paneId=17
