You do not program the smart TV features in your remote, you use your remote to access and program those featurse on your TV via menus.

SOURCE: Directv Tivo recorder no remote programming code for Visio 37''

If it were a Tivo series 3 you might have better luck with it.

http://www.tivo.com/setupandsupport/technicalsupport/compatibilityhelp/Using_the_Learning_Feature_of_the_TiVo_Glo_or_Series3_Remote.html

I've had my series 2 Tivo for about 2 1/2 years and never found the correct codes for it. I think it works off of a list of TVs manufactures about 3 years ago.

SOURCE: Vizio Universal Remotes

One thing I learned about universal remotes . They do not support all models. Vizio was a walmart brand (correct me if I am wrong) that was just a tv made by sony under a diffrent name. try the sony codes.

I had a weird tv plasma the name escapes me but it was clearly not a common name and no remote would work with it even in the search mode. one day we where playing with a viewsat (one of thous free to air remotes) and we where able to successfully scan and make work the tv with it. we tried all types of remotes!

in fact at one point we bought a logitech (expensive ) you literly are controled by that company you have to have a account and a internet connection and they want all this personal info just so you can program Your (although would argue like micro$oft that you just had a licence to use meaning you didn\'t own) just to use the tv it was junk $170 back then.

So think Viewsat , or some sort of free2air box remote. for Legal satellite viewing (yes you can actually get 100 of free channels legally with a bigger dish like history, and more free) the remotes have extra features like universal remote and since some of these companies have a tarnished reputation for being dirty they seem to have more support then a average universal remote.

Programming instructions for a sony rm-vz320 to program a JVC TV

Programming instructions are too much to type in here. If you wish to get more details, check this site. Pull up previous posts there. Setup code list and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Three digit, four digit, five digits and two-digit code list are there. Check the site with patience. Surely you'll get a solution to your problem. Search the site by 'Timeslide' option. It will make search easy. Or, type in the brand name to your device into its search box, and press "Enter"
Check this site too.

Hi i'm trying to programme my sharp stereo with a sony rm vz220 remote control. But can't get the correct code. The only code that i got was 60048. But it does not work.. Help plz..

According to the Sony Support site for this remote, receivers are NOT supported at all. Additionally, only a handful of codes are available for Sharp electronics. They are for the following devices:

Blu Ray, CD, DVD, DVD Recorder, TV and VCR.

All the codes used for the devices above are:

12250, 70034, 70037, 70180, 10630, 10675, 12250, 10675, 00818, 60048 and 60848.

You could try these codes one at a time and possibly gain some remote control capability - but that would only happen by chance. The codes above are the ONLY ones built into the RM-VZ320 remote for Sharp brand products, and if none work for your equipment, Sony says you should use your original equipment remote to control it. Not very helpful.

You can either do as they recommend, buy a pre-programmed remote that supports your device, or buy a pre-programmed remote that supports "learning". Learning remotes are universal in that the products not built in to the remote can be learned by holding the original so it points at the learning remote and pressing function buttons so that the learning remote "records" the buttons pressed on the original. It can take some time to do this, but you are assured that the remote will work with you device. Of course, you must have the original remote to do this though.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.
