I just recently bought a livecam vx 500 and i plug it in and its installs the drivers by itself but that is all, i have vista home edition service pack 1 and its supposed to be a plug and play cam, the green light does not even turn on. much apprecated for you help.
There's no driver or independent software to use with this cam. It has to be used with other software like windows or yahoo live messenger, AIM or skype, etc

umm thanks buddy but as ive said it is a plug and play type camera and it has no real source of information, its preloaded onto the usb...
Updating mabye, im trying that now mabye i need service pack 2 for vista and im pretty sure the drivers are once again installed on the camera.
But, thanks anyway for the suggestion. More help is still needed, mabye by someone who owns one?
btw, i really wouldnt call that a solution because it didnt answer my question you just gave reference to websites and your own knowledge.
When I try to use the MS Web Cam vx 5000 or any other, the programs respond can not use it b/c is already in use. There are no other programs using it, I uninstall and reintsall it w/o results. Please advise.
