SOURCE: my printer is a c6180 and keeps repeatedly

My C6180 had the same problem. Apparently some defective components were used in the construction of the logic board (see photo). On my C6180 there were 3 failed capacitors (the green cylinders - the puffed top indicates failure) and a 4th from the same manufacturer (TEAPO - many unfavorable web references to this manufacturer). I purchased 3x 330uF 16V and 1x 680uF 10v rated to 105 degrees Celsius (total about 60cents). On the logic board, the capacitors I replaced are labeled C613, C614, C660 and C662. If you are not comfortable replacing the parts yourself (or don't have a soldering tool), you will have to find someone who will. The time to repair should be less than 30 min - I did it in 25 min with only a solder pen. This fixed the on and off problem and also fixed the ink system failures the printer was having. A similar fix may apply to other printers . acca299.jpg

Printer is not connecting with pc and alarm light is off but power is on

If it's a wireless printer that connects through wifi try unplugging your router for about a minute the plug in and wait for it to fully reboot 5 minutes or so then get your wpa key from the router and reconfigure your wifi connection on your printer. If it's Bluetooth then resync printer with pc with process for your pc.

Connect wireless network

Have you tried unplugging the printer, wait for a few seconds, plug in , reconfigure the printer to the wireless, reinstall on your Computer. Make it Discoverable . Take a look at the Canon User Manual: http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/1/0900002661/01/mp500_ug_us_v7.pdf

I think I accidently cleared my wireless wifi on my printer.... the wifi light is orange instead of green so not connecting

Try to print the network settings page to determine if your printer is still connected to your wireless network or not. On the printer operator panel, press the Setup button -> Network Setup -> Print Setup Page. Check the SSID if the printer is still registered to your wireless network. If not, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network adapter. Press Setup -> Network Setup -> Reset Network Adapter. The wifi light on your printer will then momentarily turn off. Once it turns on solid orange again, you may reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.

If your printer is still registered to your wireless network, then it could be just a slight communication problem. Try to unplug and replug your printer into the power outlet to reset it. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues.

Light on printer keeps flashing orange. Router is working, if not I could not have wireless, right??? My printer is next to computer and router. Help

If your printer was wirelessly working before, try to unplug/replug your printer to the power outlet. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues.
If that doesn't help, please reset the wireless network adapter for your printer. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button -> Network Setup -> Reset Network Adapter to Factory Defaults. The WiFi light will momentarily turn off, then turns on steady orange. You can now reconfigure your printer for wireless connection.

It blinks orange

The information below (could not copy illustrations) is available from:

http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&page=product&productCode=LEXMARK_X4650&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_UK&frompage=null#1

I did a searcfh for 'blinking orange light' in the Got a Question field.

The Wi-Fi indicator light gives information about the status of the printer.
NOTE: Most wireless communication issues are a result of the following:
  • RF interference or wireless signal quality.
  • System of software firewall applications blocking crucial Lexmark software and ports.
  • The router has been reset. A different or new SSID(network name) and passphrase on the router creates a mismatch to those originally configured on the printer. You will need these router settings to reconfigure the printer using the included Setup Utility or Setup Assistant.
  • The printer has been turned OFF for period.
Use the table below to help determine your printer's current status, and refer to the linked articles for additional assistance.

Hi i have a lexmark all in one printer, recently i changed my router and now cant connect the printer wirelessly to the computer!

You will have to reconfigure the printer with the router and then reconfigure the PC. All routers don't have the IP address range. That might be the reason why it isnt working after changing the router. Also, if you were using the printer wirelessly, the SSID (network name) and the wireless security needs to be reconfigured to match your new router. The simplest way to achieve this would be to connect the printer hard wired to the router; uninstall the printer drivers completely from the PC; and run the setup disk again. The setup will walk you through the whole process.

Please get in touch if you need further clarifications.
