Does the door have a sensor strip in it so when the door hits something coming down it stops and goes up maybe something stuck to pad? just a thought

SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE MAY HAVE PRESSED THE LOCK / VACATIONS SWITCH ON YOUR WALL CONTROL. IF STILL NOT WORKING AND THE LED IN THE WALL SWITCH IS NOT FLASHING TRY AGAIN TO PROGRAM YOUR REMOTES.

You need to go through the programming again and reset your limits. Your limit was set too far closed causing the door to "bounce".

Either your sensors are not pointed at one another or the sensor with the red light is bad.

Door reopens when closing. green lite flashes five times, over & over.

You most likely have a bad RPM sensor board. This is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor.

If you cannot get the light on the sensor to come on by tweaking it,making sure it is pointed at the other sensor and your wiring is not broken or shorted then your sensors need to be replaced.

Craftsman 1/2 HP garage opener opens only 6 inches

Remove the cover and check the drive gear. It is white nylon and is just in front of the motor. It may be stripped. Take a close look at those door springs. They can sometime appear to be okay when one is broken.

It sounds like the door springs may be mis-adjusted. Release the doors from the opener and try raising and lowering them manually. They should not try to rise on their own.
