Hi, I have installed a kenwood KDC-BT558u on my truck with a brand new battery and everything was working fine, except the battery died when I left my truck in the garage for 3 days! I checked the power draw and it was drawing 640 mA when the car was off and the key was out. I reinstalled the factory unit and measured the amp again and it was only 10 mA. Can someone please help me to understand why the new Kenwood is drawing over 60 times more power than the factory unit?
Check the wire harness connections, sounds like you have KOER power hooked to KOEO. Or in other words, you have power to the radio with the key off that should connected to key on power

Just wanted to add that I am aware that the yellow wire is providing constant 12 V even when the truck is off but I cannot disconnect it due to memory loss on the unit.
