We recently moved and its cold outside we brought our tv into our new house and my son plugged the tv in and turned it on while it was cold. then the tv shut itself off. Are we totally screwed with it working unless we take it in for repair??

When you bring somithing from the cold to a warm place. Wather condensatin to the cold surface, it can case a lot of problem!

But after a 30min 1h you can pug in the device without a problem.

So if the device working dont have to worry about it.Just dont do this again.

I moved my TV from my old house to my new house. Before it worked just fine at my old house, brought it to my new house and it just doesn't turn on! Tried different outlets, wires, etc.

Check the power at the plug point. Check the plug of the TV. If there is no life, then you will need to open the TV panel and check for a blown fuse, a circuit break while transporting, a loose connector within the set or a possible damaged SMPS>
check this link below for some tips on the power supply:

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote on moving refrigerators...if you did not do it thisway then you may well have ruined a perfectly good refrigerator.

Moving a Refrigerator What is the best way

If you already have moved it wrong, you can sometimes get it working byplugging it in and unplugging it a number of times with an hour or so inbetween.

Moved house and tv will not tune into inside

You could try a 15dB UHF amplifier that will usually feed upto 2 TV's they cost about £10-15 and usually have a pass through 240V plug and will work with the Sky Magic Eye.

Recently moved..stopped working after the move

your problem may be in the voltage that the dryer works on. If the cord is fine then I would check to see what voltage that may be supplied tot he dryer and if the dryer can operate on the voltage being supplied.

My sons car has a clicking noise comming from the

It sounds like it is probably the valve train making a little noise - this normally happens when the car is cold (before it warms up and the oil gets moving nicely)

Has he done an oil change recently? Does he have sufficient oil in the car? Check these things and rectify if necessary. Finally, he might want to double-check the oil he's using - the first number in the specification (eg 5W30) refers to the cold viscosity - he may need to change this to improve his cold starting.

Hope this helps

Cannot change/move satellite

I assume this is an outdoor satellite dish system, like a c-band system? It sounds like the motor drive outside has a stripped gear on the main shaft. The motor is probably running and the sensor wheel is turning (making the unit in the house think the dish is moving) but the screw shaft is not turning.

Hope that helped
