I have a Freeway Jabra, now I have a Jabra 350 earpiece, its fully charged but I can,t turn it on. Whats the problem. Please Help

Be certain that your bluetooth is fully charged, then be certain you follow BOTH your phone's and your bluetooth devices instruction for pairing.

You probably cannot. Some bluetooth devices act like phones, and others act like earpieces. The Garmin acts like an earpiece to offer a hands-free speakerphone while driving. Your Jabra earpiece wants to pair with a phone, not other earpiece-type device.

My advice would be to re-pair the two devices. In the Bluetooth menu on you phone find 'paired devices' and delete the headset from the list. Next you will need to put the Bluetooth headset into pairing mode. Make sure it is switched off and then press and hold the power button on the headset and keep pressing it ( some headsets need to also have the up volume button pressed at the same time). What should happen is either a solid blue light of alternate flashing of two colours. (pairing mode varies on different headsets and you made need instructions or call Jabra) At this point on the phone in the Bluetooth menu search new devices. It should find your headset and request pairing code. Code should be '0000' or some headsets use '1234'. This should now set up a fresh pairing and work again. Hope that helps.

OK, this is what you do: 1. Make sure your Jabra VBT 2050 is fully charged. 2. Enable bluetooth on your phone. 3. Turn on your VBT 2050 with the little button on the side (the white light between the keys should flash). 4. Initiate a search from your phone while holding down the center button on the VBT 2050 (middle, under the + and -). 5. You might need to do another bluetooth search using your phone (it took me about 4 times befor my Blackberry Storm picked up the signal. 6. When your phone asks for a code, type in 0000 (the default number).

I had same problem with same two items. Here is what I did to fix.

Step 1. Delete partnership on phone.
Step 2. Reboot phone
Step 3. Make sure Bluetooth fully charge, and then hold down button so it goes into pairing mode.
Step 4. Enter default 0000 password.

P.S. I had to do it in that order to work, if you don't reboot phone AFTER deleting current partnership, it won't work.

I would also like to know if you find a fix for this problem. I have the BT500 and it will also not turn on.

Had the same problem with the BT250v 'connected' to my Nokia 6021. When connected to my notebook, the 250 did produce sound, so decided the Nokia was the problem. Fixed the problem by doing a full reboot of the phone like this:

 

Jabra: Turn off the 250

Phone: Delete the BT connection to the Jabra (in BT settings)

Phone: Switch off BT

Phone: Turned off the phone (I've even removed the battery)

Phone: Turned on the phone

Phone: Switch on BT

Jabra: Turn on the 250 for detection

Phone: Look for audio devices

Phone: Connect to Jabra

 

Problem fixed!
