1. Are you streaming?
2. Have you updated Quicktime?
3. do you still have plenty of room left on the tablet? or have you filled it up with apps and such?

Hmmm, it should play. Did something happen to the file during transfer to the iPad (from iTunes, probably)? Maybe try deleting and transferring again?

Have you checked to see if your ipad requires any updates. Sometimes these need to be updated and this may solve the issue. If this is not the case I am afraid I cannot help.

the iPad does not support all video file formats, will it play videos that it shoots from its camera?
if so, then you may need to convert you mov files to a version that your iPad can play, an app like quicktime from apple is a great way to convert some movie files to versions that the iPad can use.
if your iPad can not play its own videos the problem is deeper, check with your apple store.
