How do I unlock the kindle fire HD 6 so my grandkids dont have to ask me to put in the password every time ...... I have the parental locks on
I have gone into parental area and tried to put the screen on unlock but it will not stay there and keeps asking for password
Do not want to set up a separate acct for them

1. From the top of the screen, swipe downwards.
2. Select 'More'.
3. Tap 'Security'.
4. Find 'Lock Screen Password' and tap 'Off'.
5. Now enter your current password.
6. Select 'Next' and tap 'Done' to confirm.
It will not ask for a password each time you turn on or it goes to sleep!

Give enter to password, in blank, withoul inputting anything. Maybe it accepts it as password.
The other possiblity is that you've been pranked and someone defined a password

Important: Resetting your Kindle Fire will remove all content downloaded to it. Any content you purchased from Amazon is saved to your Kindle Library in the Cloud and will remain in the Cloud. You can download that content again if you register your Kindle Fire to your account again.
From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap More.
Tap Device.
Tap Reset to Factory Defaults, and then tap Erase Everything.
Your Kindle Fire will restart.
To use your Kindle Fire again, you'll need to connect wirelessly and register your Kindle Fire.

From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
Tap the Menu icon again, and then tap Reset Device. Your device will power off and power back on.
To use your Kindle again, you'll need to connect wirelessly and register your Kindle.
