Try another input like DVDs player or game station something other than normal. For example if using the cable input. Try the HDMI port or componet or composite ports. If none of those work the then your GPU is blown. And if that is the case you will most likely be better off getting a new TV.

27' vizon tv black screen

It seems to be a PSU (Power Supply Unit) problem. When you unplug it and replug, the screen comes on for a moment. That means that the capacitor does not hold charge for long. Open the back and look for bulged or burst capacitors on the module where the power cord meets inside. Replace the whole module if you can not replace the capacitor with exactly the same specs.

Screen won't display

I found your site confusing. If you had read my post, you would have noticed that my problem referred to a 15" flat screen 'CELLO' .TV/DVD combo. I had sound but no picture. When switched on, the screen lit up and the word CELLO appeared then the sreen went black

Mysterious black box?

Sounds like something is imposing Picture in picture on your scrren with no source attached to the other picture. Could be cable or Sat or some other device, or TV PIP.
