Connect to the router via a cable.
Open CMD (command) prompt and type:
iconfig
you will see a default gateway listed - write the ip address down.
Open internet explorer and enter the gateway address into the address bar.
Should open a web page to configure the router.
You may have to provide a password.

If you're only interested in wireless password change, select different pages until you get to the wireless stuff.

Give the passwords: admin or admin1234 or default. if these do not work try resetting the router.

Wireless light will lit up only if any wireless computer is connected to Belkin's wireless network.
First, connect to Belkin's wireless network that you can scan.

The wireless settings in the Belkin has been setup with encryption.
You can restore the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and press the RESET button for 7 secs.
It is not wise to leave your wireless router unsecured, anyone can access your network and Internet connection and use up your allocated download limit. Once you exceed your download limit you could be slug with addition charges - this depends upon your contract with your ISP.

Check whether the SSID broadcast is enabled on the router.
If it is already enabled then try changing the wireless channel on the router.
for this you will need to open the set up page of the router.

admin usually gets u into the router for access WITHOUT a password. Set a new password or resetup your network with the disk that comes with your router.

Try to reduce the MTU of the router. If you're on DSL, set the MTU size to 1492, for Cable connection size is 1400 or 1463. You can do it on the router's admin page http://192.168.1.1

hi try this

1. Unplug the power cable from the modem.
2. Open a Web Browser
3. In the address bar type http://192.168.2.1
4. Click on Connection Type in the left hand column under Internet WAN heading
5. Enter your password if any and click Submit
6. Click on Dynamic and then click on Next
7. Type in your Hostname if required.
8. Click on Apply Changes
9. Plug the power cable back into the cable modem.
10. Click on the Home link at the top of the screen
11. It should now show Connected under the Internet Status column

well..that passphrase is from a secure connection..you might need to get a new set of drivers, and re install that router.

If you access your router, look at the wireless settings, you may need to change a setting to allow b + g connections, your laptop may have a 'b' adapter.
