The battery is stuffed and needs replacing. It is a well know issue.

You just need to go to www.tomtom.com look for your gps model and usually under specifications there is a downloads link or go to bottom of that page. From there you need to click on the downloads section link and then enter your model in. Then you should be able to download the manual. They have changed this as it was a lot easier before.

did you purchase the year through your xbox live account on the xbox, or did you buy a card? if you brought a card you will have to enter the code on the card in the redeem code section from the menu after pressing the middle button. if you brought it through the xbox should of happened automatically. and you should contact microsoft/xbox - http://support.xbox.com/en-US/pages/contact-us.aspx

E$ither return it to exchange the unit for qa more recent edition or contact the aseller for the coide to get an update. Maps are generally 12 months behind because for the conversion of data for all models and brands. So if your address is 12 months or less that is why it's not on there. Also check on Google to see if you are listed. If not then you will not get an update from TOTOM with it on either.

I have the same tomtom and it has the same problem. Sorry to say it is the battery. You cant change it it has to go to Tom Tom. I just bought a new one. Hope this helps.
