When changing or deleting your passcode, you must use the remote control included with this TV. You cannot use any Mitsubishi remote control from another component or a "universal" remote.

Put the DVD in the PS2 and when the prompt for the password appears, press SELECT to bring up the delete password screen and enter the code 7444. Then register a new password.

Are you sure there is not a problem with the TV set? The set will need to be on to unlock the front panel. Bypassing the V-Chip Lock on most Mitsubishi sets use a four-digit passcode that is required to view a V-Chip locked program, view the locked TV, cancel the lock, or enter the V-Chip lock menus. If you don't have the passcode, it is easy to bypass. This is neccessary if you forgot the code, purchased the set used, or if you simply don't feel like searching through your files to find it.
