You could have a PROTECT issue, a microprocessor issue(computer inside your unit) amplifier, or power supply problem. Unfortunately, this is not a DIY fix, and there too many possible issues. If you require further assistance, or would like to inquire about repairing your Samsung, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

You get surround sound only if you hook up your Optical out from your TV to the Optical IN on the HT-H4500 using an optical audio cable. You may have to buy such a cable if one was not included with the TV or the home theater.

Follow the link below and click on the Manual tab.

Connect the sound outputs from all the satellite box and the xbox to the sound inputs on the back of the ht-4500. Do not connect the tv sound output to the ht. As an example of the connections see this:

Have lenoxx ht 500 surround sound speakers & dvd but dvd is broken, need to purchase another dvd player but can't source lenoxx model, what other models can i connect surround sound to? or whe

If your surround sound receiver unit has rca audio inputs(red/white), you can hook up any brand of DVD player that has rca outputs. You would hook the yellow output from DVD player to yellow input on TV. Hook red/white output from DVD player to red/white input on surround receiver. Hope this helps.

Surround sound keeps shuting off

the system go to protect mode in case of trouble in output stage(power output component and cords and speakers.
try to connect each speaker one by one until you find the bad one change cord first for the bad one and check if not working you must change speaker itself.if all above does not solve the problem you must pass your sony to service center

How do I get my tv to play through the surround sound

If you have direct cable into the television, you will need to use an audio output if available on the back of your set into your HT system.

If you are using cable w/ a cable box you have two options. You can still connect everything directly into the TV then reroute the audio to the HT system... or, you could hook only video to the TV and audio from the cable box to the HT system. Really up to you.
