F&S FE6B-1 battery replacement

It will either unscrew if evenly spaced notches exist around the cap's edge if threaded or snap off if a small cavity exists beneath the cap's edge to insert a jeweler's screwdriver.

Calibre S affected by magnetic field

All watches are affected by magnetic fields.

Yes, your Tag watch will be affected. If it has been in a magnetic field it will need to be serviced to remove the magnetization from the movement parts.

Hope this helps,

Compass dial turned opposite direction

you might be able to reverse the poles back to normal with a magnet but be careful not to scratch face or get it closer than you need to to the insides of the watch.

Missing hinge pins

You will have to get a complete clasp assembly, which will have to be ordered from the factory that makes that model. If the clasp assembly is not available, A jeweler might have that part or be able to repair it for you.

Leather wrist strap

I would scrap the strap - the odours are caused by the tanning chemicals getting wet. Retain the fastening and purchase half a meter of nylon ribbon loop it through the case pegs on one side glue them together and pierce for buckle holes. On the buckle side loop it through both case peg and buckle and fold and glue. You have a choice of colour and it cost only fraction of a new leather one- also you will have enough left to make two straps

Wrist Band Resizing

I did find a solution. I used a push pin tack to push the pins out. Not easy but it did work.

Field & Stream Mens Watch, F42GUBS

Take the watch to a jeweller. They should have all the batteries and seals and tools necessary for the job, and it rarely takes long or costs that much. you could probably manage yourself, but getting the seals especially is easiest through a jeweller anyway. Most likely reason for any watch to be not working is the battery, the next would be moisture inside - normally visible round the screen/face. always worth replacing the battery to see, unless the watch cost less than the battery, which it didn't. Hope this helps :)
