The gas is no different - the only difference is the metering valve on the top of the cylinder (red or yellow or orange cap on the cylinder. Each tool has a specific amount of fuel needed based on the size of the combustion chamber.
It won't hurt the tool, but if it doesn't fire properly I would switch back to Paslode for consistent operation.
Using non-Paslode gas in your Paslode nailer will cause more misfires and will even cause the tool to get dirtier faster. This will mean that your tool will need cleaning and oiling more often. Always try to use Paslode gas.
You can use most gases in your gun, but paslode is the best that's why its more expensive. Try warming the gases in your pocket that sometimes helps.
