It is a good possibility that the pipe had closed off from residue buildup in the pipe.

SOURCE: Not enough hot water

Some higher end models do have an adjustment that is behind the face plate. You would have to remove the handle and the screws in the faceplate to expose them. If you have adjustments they will be located on the brass valve body facing you. You will need a flashlight and a flathead screwdriver to make the adjustment. If your model is not equipped with adjustments you could have a faulty valve stem. The stem is comprised of a rubber band like gasket that separates port holes into which the waters flow. There could be some piece of trash blocking the port not allowing adequate water from the hot side into the valve. Some valves stems are also able to be installed upside down causing the same issue as the ports do not rotate fully to allow adequate supply. However you say that you have adequate pressure on the hot side but not warm enough. There is another possibility also based on the way the shower supply was plumbed but there is no need to go into this unless this does not resolve your issue. I hope this is of assistance and thanks for using Fix Ya. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

SOURCE: Insufficient hot water from Gledhill pulsacoil 2000

changing the shower head will not do anything.to do what you want, you would need more BTU's or a bigger unit to supply more water, someone may be hogging the water also.

SOURCE: Water is not very hot.

First try adjusting the pressure balancing gear located right behind the handle. If you still do not have hot water I suggest to replace the cartridge.

SOURCE: shower/tub combo hot water problem

Hello,
There is a restriction in the faucet or the piping to the faucet on the hot wtaer side...this will be very hard to find and fix... The shower uses less water so it will get hot.... the tub spout allows more water flow so you cannot get the water more then warm...

Take the faucet apart and blow out all the passage ways with air... also run some water from the piping while the guts are out of the faucet, to flush the piping...
Hopefully this will fix you up...

Push Pull Shower Valve also off in middle position

If you turn it to left or right (hot or cold) and get water out of the shower head,we'll elimate cloged shower head.If it just doesnt work in the middle ,probily a washer is stuck in your diverter,or to better understand>a part inside your shower knob assembly is clogging the water that goes up to your shower head. If you get water out of the shower head in the just cold possition or just hot position, then you will have to dissasemble the unit to repair. If you get no water in the cold or hot position could just be a clogged shower head.If you dont know how to disasemble a Shower diverter ,I wouldn't recommend taking it apart. Hope this helped!

Shower has a reduced flow of hot water.

Im not familiar with the combi boiler system but on must types of HW systems there is a small tap valve situated toward the top in the pipework.

No hot water comes out of shower just cold comes out even when turned to hot, sink 2 feet away has hot water

The problem more tha likely lies within the shower valve body. Possibly the shower head has an accumulation of deposits clogging up the holes but that would not affect the hot water supply only. You might try removing the shower head and turning on the hot water. If you get hot, immerse the head in Limeaway for a hour or two and replace it, or install a new head. If you still do not get hot water, the shower valve needs attention. The cartridge inside the valve body will likely need replacing or at the least cleaning (Limeaway), replacing rubber seals and use plenty of silicone grease before re-assembly.

No hot water

If you pull the trim off of the valve you will find the balancing caulk it is 1 inch diameter slotted screw. Unscew that and shake it or tap it on something until it rattles. then reinstall.

No hot water coming through the shower system, though hot water comes through the pipe without system attached

When you adjust the dial to mix the hot and cold for your desired liking, it goes into a mixing chamber before going to the shower head, im asumming your issue is within the mixing chamber.
