On most single handset units: Ringer volume: Press the volume up or down arrow rapidly to change the ringer volume. Speaker volume: When talking on the handset press the volume up and down arrow to increase or decrease the volume. On other models: Ringer volume In standby mode, press the volume up key or volume down key on the handset or base to select one of three ringer volume (Off, Low, or High).
Earpiece and Speaker Volume You can select from among of six volume levels on the handset, and ten levels on the base. Pressing the volume up key or volume down key on the handset or base during a call will change the earpiece or speaker volume. This setting will remain in effect after the telephone call has ended. Not sure which kind of cell phone you have? There must be setting on the phone to turn on the sound and the ringer. Just go the menu and turn it ON and make sure the Volume is not mute(increase the volume to the level you can hear the ringer) . Hope it helps , write the details if this doesn't work.

i BELIEVE there is a setting I think in either your ringer volume or in your sounds or tones (sorry I cant be more specific but its been a ling time since I had a phone that even came with that option) that will give an option of ascending ring which it sounds like to me it is set to this you need to change that
Hi, when a phone has a ringer volume problem, is either the ringer of the phone is weak and you can't hear when someone calls you or the volume of the ringer is yet at a very low level in sound.
You will need to check the volume settings of the phone if the volume is low so you can increase it to a high level.
If the setting of the volume is high, that means the ringer that a makes you hear when people call is weak and will need to be replaced.

You can increase the sound of your phone in three categories. 1. music volume, 2. ringer volume, 3. keypad tone volume.
To increase the music volume, you go to the multimedia, select sounds, once the song is playing then you click on the up button that is by the side of the phone. You can increase it to the volume that pleases you.
Further means to increase the volume of your phone is that you go to the 'menu', click on the 'settings', select the 'profile', select 'personalize', a page will show up with a list of data that can be changed on the profile, select the ringer volume, keypad tone or whatever sound you want to increase and increase it with the direction button pointing upward that is by the side of the phone.
To increase the keypad tone, from the home page, click on the up button that is by the right side of the phone, the volume of the phone will increase.
I had this same problem with my Blackberry. You should check the settings on your sound and volume for incoming calls and make sure you have a tone set. You can also find a way to amplify your ringtone by hooking it up to your computer. If you dont' hear anything at all, then check the buttons on the side and see if that increases the volume. Ringer volume • With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press MENU then press ▲ or ▼ until RINGER VOLUME is shown • Press SEL. You will hear a sample of the ringer • Press ▲,▼ or a digit (0 through 6) You will hear a sample of the new ringer volume and the volume bar will be increased or decreased each time the setting is adjusted At the lowest setting the ringer will be turned off and the display will show: - OR - • With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press or of the volume control will directly go to ringer volume menu • Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the ringer volume
To turn your ringer back on, you do the following. For your handset, you push Menu, scroll to ringer settings, then push select, Press select again for ringer volume, then scroll up to turn on and increase the ringer volume. Then press Save once its at the desired volume. To change your base ringer, while it is not in use, push the ringer up button until you hear the desired setting. That should fix your problems.
