Flash not working on Sony CyberShot DSC-P93A digital camera

Flash apparently quit working, otherwise camera seems to function properly. Is it worth trying to fix?

    sometimes the pictures come out great, and other times they come out smoky/dark

    I have a 4.0 that the flash has quit working, 2 that is giving intermittent dark pics and a 3.0 that will not accept any sd card--locks camera up.

The flash on my Moultrie gameSpy 4.0 (D40) quit working. I can trigger the camera and see the flash is very week. Batteries are 100%. Can the flash be ordered and replaced?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH A SONY DSCP92 WHICH I BOUGHT (CHEAP) FROM ORIGINAL OWNER. IS IT EASY AND CHEAP TO REPAIR OR SHOULD IT BE TOSSED.

You can re-enalbe the flash of this camera by pressing on the lightning button repeatedly until flash is enabled

Hi Jim,
Have you tried resetting all settings on the camera? On a Sony camera, it is called "initialize". The initialize setting is found by going to the menu, and tabbing down until you find an option called either "reset settings" or "initialize settings" and then confirm it.
Many times that will fix the issue, in case something has either been enabled/disabled on accident, or the software is sticking (which happens from time to time)

Hey, Matt here. You could try getting a cheap broken one off ebay or something. It is unusual for the flash to be the first thing to go so if you got a broken one from ebay the chances are the flash bulb would be good to use. Hope this helps. Matt. Please rate me
