It could be your wireless card which you can replace through the bottom of the machine. Take it out and get the part number and do a search on amazon for it. It should be fairly inexpensive $5-10 I'm guessing. If that doesn't work I would just get a USB wireless adapter which you can also get from amazon. Good Luck! You didn't supply the HP model or the OS? Is the Network in the Available Wireless Network List? Is your Wireless Network Adapter enabled? Correct driver installed?

I have a hp Pavilion running mac os x snow leopard and i am trying so connect to wifi network and saying no air port found can any one help and help me fix this.

Hi there,
Try contacting HP and check if there's a driver available for the wireless card compatible with Mac OS X. The reason why it's saying it cannot find any airport is because it does not detect the wireless card being installed because there is no driver working.
Hope this helps!

The wireless on my daughters laptop stop working. The orange light is on by the switch. I have looked at the device manager and the wireless adapter is not there. I have tried to install new hardware to...

The wireless driver install package will be available in C:\SWSETUP
But if your notebook came without a preinstalled OS, you'll have to visit HP site to get the drivers for your notebook PC.
Alternatively, try the HP Wireless Assistant to check if it is turned on.

My Hp pavilion tx2000 cant play audio files, cant connect to net

Hi James

First, Sound drivers:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.5494 A from HP notebook
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38206.exe

and video drivers..
HP Pavilion tx2000z CTO Notebook NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Video Driver 7.15.11.5682 A
http://notebook.free-driver-download.com/url.php?id=TlRJeE5Eaz0&link=0

Now network:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook NVIDIA nForce Chipset/Network Driver 5.53 A
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38205.exe

and wireless!
This is an older WIFI driver that only works in XP, and in certain HP Pavilions, but try it.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36501-37000/sp36684.exe

and this is the Vista one that is correct for your laptop, it probably doesn't work in XP but if all else fails, you could try it. (You should really run Vista on it, I reckon)-----------------
