How to adjust your Skyhawk for Daylight Savings Time (DST) *aka How to get UTC to reflect the correct time when your local time is set* According to Citizen's website FAQ, their watches cannot determine when daylight savings time goes into effect for all the different time zones so there is no automatic changeover from SMT to normal and back again. If you are on the winter side of the time change (fall back), you'll have to go to the set setting, one click out on the knob and cycle through all the timezones using the B button (the lower one) to change all the settings to OF (for winter) and in the spring change all of the appropriate timezones back to ON (for summer time). Disappointing, I know... for an otherwise great watch this would be my one complaint.
TR is Timer, you can set it for countdown....
T2 is Time Zone 2, which means if you are in a different country You can set time according to their timezone without changing your own country Time..,,,
It is the dual time zone dial. Set it for another timezone, like London or whatever you're interested in, a timezone your friend is in so you don't call them at 3 in the morning.
ok ,here it is .
Instructions To Set The Time On The Diesel DZ7071 Watch
Ok the first and most important thing to know about this watch is that it has an unusual timezone function (unusual to me at least). This allows the watch to display two different times. Time 1 (or T1) is the primary time (the time of the place where you spend most of your time!). The time can only be adjusted whilst the watch is in the T1 mode (T1 should be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen). Holding down the top right button for one or two seconds will temporarily replace the current T1 time with the T2 time. Holding down this same button for several seconds will toggle the current time mode to T2 and the watch will continue to function in the second time zone until you toggle it back to T1.
The second most important thing to know is that you can only set the time whilst in the T1 mode. When in T1 mode hold down the top left button until the watch enters the settings menu (it should say "Light" at the top of the screen) now use the bottom left button to toggle through the settings menu until you get to the time settings. I think this part of the process if sufficiently straight forward so I'm not going to go into more details here, all I'll add is that once you have the watch set to the desired time mode 12h/24h time and date you just need to press the top left button to save the settings and return to the main time screen.
To set a secondary timezone time you have to first toggle the watch to the secondary time zone mode (hold the top right button for several seconds and the T1 indicator should change to T2 (and the watch will now be displaying the time that is currently set for the secondary timezone). This time is based on the primary time by simply telling the watch a number of whole hours ahead or behind the primary time. To adjust this hold down the top left button for several seconds, the watch will then say "offset" now use the buttons on the right to add or subtract hours from the primary time. Once set press the top left button again to return to the main time screen. Finally hold down the top right button for several seconds once more to return the watch to the T1 mode.
You posted this in January, which is not during daylight savings time. The SMT setting doesn't turn on automatic DST switching for a particular timezone; rather, it is a manual override to adjust timezones to DST when it is actually active. There is no automatic DST adjustment for this watch (according to their FAQ). Turn SMT to OF for all timezones during winter months, and ON for applicable timezones during SuMmer Time (SMT).
