As batteries go thru many charge and recharge cycles, they lose their ability to retain full charges. Time to buy a new battery.

Using Uniden digital answering machine with 2 phones. When I pick up either phone to make a call a message appears on the screen, "connecting". . Tried another phone ,line good.

Check if the base power adapter is warm to the touch. If it's cold, then the base has no power. Test if distance between the handsets and the base is an issue by moving closer to the base. Check for any radio interference. Check if the handsets are registered. You may need to de-register them first. Try unplugging the base (power and phone line cord) then remove the batteries from each handset. Wait at least 15 minutes before restoring the power/batteries. If the base has a charging cradle, place one handset in that cradle and wait a few minutes. See if that handset works. Otherwise, try to register one of the handsets and see if it works.

If the problem persists, then the base probably has a problem transmitting or receiving the signals from the handsets. Unless the system is under warranty (one year), you should replace the system. Otherwise, contact Uniden customer support.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of the Uniden phone if you want directions for registering/de-registering the handsets.

A385 doesnt cut off when returned to cradle

its probably your cradle not connecting to the phone. if you have not dropped your phone or the hook ups on it are not bent or scratched you should take it back. you could check the cradle if you dont have a receipt, make sure all the connectors are receiving power and are not bent downward

Phone sees call, but can't pick-up. Can't get d-tone to call out?

Just a suggestion (without knowing what troubleshooting steps from your manual you may have taken): Remove the batteries from the back of the handset and then put them back in after a few moments. My Panasonic KX-TGA8231B (DECT6.0) phones were acting up just like your Uniden is. All functions returned after this power interrupt "reset" with the batteries was done. Hope that helps. Good luck. - - -Gerry

RAZR V3m shutting down randomly

You may try putting a small, thin piece of b under the battery directly on top of the small metal tab, put the battery back in, see if this pressure is enough to keep your phone on.
Sometimes the cell phone deals people are getting on Ebay actually result in more frustration and disappointment.

You may consider cutting your loss and purchasing a new phone, or getting a FREE phone from one of the major carriers.

I highly recommend the following company for getting your next phone, the customer service is excellent and the selection is great. I also recommend folks in getting insurance on their new phones as well. I hope this helps you, best wishes :)

Handset has message Out of Range even though it is fully charged on on the handset.

The handsets are reading out of range because they have lost connection with the base. This happens mostly during peak power demands or power outages, but can also happen when the phone is unplugged for any amount of time. This can also cause, at times, the answering machine to stop picking up calls. To remedy this issue, reset the phone system. Please follow the instructions below:
To reset the phone:
1. Disconnect the power adapter, phone line, and remove all batteries from the base and all handsets. Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds to reset the base.
2. Place the batteries in the handsets first and then plug in the power adapter and phone line. Do not place the batteries back in the base yet.
3. Put the handset in the charge cradle.
4. It may take up to 1 minute for the "Out of Range" to clear from the display.
5. Once the "Out of Range" is cleared from the handset place the back up batteries back into the base.

Mine does something similar to this and I take it off the cradle, take out the battery, put the battery back in, and then place the camera back on the cradle. Hope this helps.
