RESET on dial Model JE1918. What is it for?

The RESET button on your JE1918 sewing machine is used to reset the machine's settings to their default values. This can be helpful if you have made a mistake while setting up your sewing machine or if you want to start fresh with the default settings. When you press the RESET button, any custom settings that you have made will be erased, and the machine will revert back to its original settings. It is important to note that pressing the RESET button will not erase any saved stitches or patterns that you have programmed into the machine's memory.

My mach. will not run/is there a reset button?

Perhaps your machine is still under a warranty since it less than a year old. Probably best to contact the manufacturer.

I am having problems with my decorative stitches. If the decorative stitch needs the "S" foot, the stitch does not sew correctly. Is ther a way to correct this? A reset button or something?

Check the manual - are you using the settings recommended for the s foot? Are you using the proper thread? How about the tension 0 is it properly set for the size and thickness of thread being used?

My brother pc-2800 stitch length button won't light up so I can't adjust the stitch length. Is it worth having fixed?

you might call a repair shop and tell them the problem and ask
them how much it would cost to have the machine repaired that
way you can decide.

Timing

That needs a repairman because you have to reset the gears, if it is still having the same problem take it back to the repair center and they should fix it again for free because they did not solve the problem. I am sorry to tell you but those machines have been nothing but headaches to my customers, many have just bought new machines (our shop sells Brother and Babylock).

My machine is giving me an error 88 and keeps flashing fast when I turn it on.

I had that problem when the machine was not threaded correctly. I now floss the thread back and forth through the tension area everty time I thread the machine, to make sure the thread is in the right place.
