Hello James;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

On the bottom of the dome are 4 clips that you must push in on. Be careful not to damage the seal ring.

Have a top loading fridgidare washer just changed the belt now water will not stop and washer overflows

Your pressure dome hose may be kinked. Remove front panel. There is a hose that attaches from the tub to the console. This hose is either kinked or clogged. Remove hose clean the end and then blow into it when washer is filling If it stops and starts to wash than you have a clog where the hose connects to tub. If it does not stop you have a kink in the hose or the pressure dome switch is out.

How to clean the domes on hearing aids

Take the domes off, wash them out or use a pipe cleaner to poke out the wax. If you have washed them, make sure they are thoroughly dry before you put them back on. When you put them back on make sure they are firmly on the receiver tip or you will be taking a trip to A&E to get it removed from your ear canal.

The clear plastic door cover of my Bosch front load washer has come loose at the top, so that when it spins, it vibrates. From the "looks" of it, seems like there are supposed to be 4 screws that...

Try sealing the dome onto the door with silicone sealant. Smooth it well into the inside of the door so that it will not be caught by the washing. Also smear liberal amounts on the outside to hold the dome in place, but smooth it off for appearance sale. Smoothing is best done with a wet finger to leave a good finish.

If you have already removed the outer washplate, the inner wash plate should just lift off the leveler and u-joint. The washplate dome refers to the center cone that fits on top of the outer wash plate. This piece comes off by inserting a screwdriver in the slots along the sides and gently prying to release the locking tabs. The mounting bolts that secure the outer wash plate also secure the inner wash plate to the u-joint assembly. There is a seal under the inner wash plate that may be holding it on. I don't know of anything else that would be holding it in place. Searspartsdirect.com has an excellent exploded view diagram of the wash plate and components that you may refer to provide you with a perspective on how everything fits together. I hope you find some of this information helpful. Please post back and let me know if you are still having problems.

PS You may have to resort to using a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the inner wash plate to knock it free.

Tub

Ok pull the dome off using the slots on the dome to remove, this will expose six bolts which come off using a 3/8 or 1/2 on rebuild units. This will allow you to carefully lift the wash plate to expose the underside, there is a post on the nutate dome and a hole that matches locate this as you move it so alignment is easier. Carefull not to remove the leveler, or the brown dome:) after you get your cards and scoop some water replce the plate like putting a tire on a truck.

Washer won't stop filling

Remove the pressure switch hose and blow into it. Is it hard to blow through?
In the bottom right rear of the outer tub there is an air dome where the other end of the pressure switch hose is connected. The air dome can become clogged and prevent the pressure switch from working properly.
Also inspect the hose for any cracks splits or pin holes.
To access the air dome remove the cabinet shell as follows:

I will skip console removal as is seems you already know how...

With the console lifted;
1. You will find a lid switch connector (white in color). Unplug the switch from the connector.

2. There will be two brass colored clips. Place a flat blade screwdriver straight down into the opening on top of the washer and into the groove of the clip. Push the screwdriver down and away from you and the clip will release.

3. Open the lid of the washer and place your hand under the front rim of the opening (DO NOT grab the wash tub). Tilt and slide cabinet forward to remove.

In the bottom right rear of the outer tub you will find the air dome.
