I have a Canon PIXMA MP250, and it's printing black and faded lines alternatively. (one line black, one line faded black...), sometimes involve blue too.. Anyone can help?

Clean the ink head.

1. Run a printer maintenance. You can access it via the printer's control panel program in your computer. Run the cleaning procedure. Test it. If it won't fix the problem, then proceed to step 2.

2. Clean the ink head.

Hi,
A cleaning will fix the problem. To clean your Canon Pixma MP250 > open a document (from the computer) and select print from the menu,
- In the print screen window select 'properties' Or 'Preferences'

- In the next window click 'maintenance'

- In the next window there will be many options to clean, align, nozzle check etc etc...

First you need to check your printer preferences/settings and check "Greyscale" printing box is unchecked (no tick or cross) if so then its a printer problem.

I'm guessing it has 2 cartridges, on colour and one black. As a guess the colour print head has become blocked. You can try clearing it with the printer clean functions, but this invariably just wastes your ink. You need to get a print head cleaning kit. PC shops or ebay.

my canon mp250 won't print color photos it does well with BW but not color. I took back the first one I had did the same thing now the second one won't print color photos off the internet. what did I do wrong? Both inks are brand new.

When you print photos you print in Max dpi, for this no faded lines anywhere. Probably you have a problem only in black color in print head.
Мay be it's partially clogged or partially defective.

I've cleaned it every which way..but still all the pictures print out really realled faded with slight lines horizontally runnung across.
