Lc42b45u changes input by itself, turns on by itself

Without taking the set apart as far as I can tell all the buttons work and are not stuck. Still turns itself on and flips thru input selections by itself. I put it in the garage to make sure nothing else was somehow doing this. Remote for tv has batteries removed. Going to Sharpus.com gives me nothing on this tv.

See if there is a fimrware upgrade or just basically check the front screen buttons to see if these are getting stuck on. Maybe someone pushed in this I/O board and the buttons keep getting pushed on?

I have a Sharp LCD that keeps changing inputs and will randomly turn itself on.

Sounds like you have another infared source that the LCD is seeing. Put opaque tape over the infared receiver and see if the issue continues. Look for another IR device in the area.

Input changes by itself

The input select physical control switch is intermittently shorted. You may changed the switch board ASSY, or just un-plug it from the main board.

I cant keep my tv turned on after i pushed the rgb button by mistake it keeps on displaying no signal and then it goes off

Turn on the TV again. You need to change the input from RGB back to cable or HDMI or Component or whatever input you have a source for. If you don't know which one, look at the back of the TV and the wires you've got plugged into it.
If it's 1 round coaxial cable, change the input to Cable.
If it's three wires (red, white, and yellow) change the input to A/V.
If it's 5 multicolored wires, change the input to Component.
If it's an HDMI cable, change input to HDMI.
If you cannot change the input before the TV turns itself off, try unplugging the TV from the wall socket for about 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. If its still on RGB, you're going to have to either find a way to get faster at switching inputs, or find an RGB cable and something to connect it to your TV. This is a last resort however.

Techwood 42in tv model 42832 hd digtal it turned itself of,cant get no picture, but blue stand by switch still turns on and off

It sounds like your TV's display has been routed to a different INPUT than the Cable/TV input jack, like a VCR in put or an RCA input. You need to change the input back to TV from VCR or LINE1 or RCA, so on. How to do this without the original remote, you are going to have to look up the program code for the universal remote and program that remote correctly, once done, change the TV Input until you're back on cable.

AOC Plasma TV turns on by itself and changes channels non stop.

I have an AOC 32" LCD HDTV and it turns on by itself as well. Tuning is done via my cable box, so the tv is set on HDMI and I don't have the channel changing issue. I as well am trying to figure it out. The only thing I could suggest is perhaps the remote batteries are low and triggering on it's own. Try changing the batteries, or ensure that the remove it in a drawer or other room so that triggering the unit is impossible. Hope that helps.

While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed ''no signal'' and then shut itself off. Now, when I turn it on, it says no signal and turns itself off after a few seconds.

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.

Tv turns on and off by itself

Picture tubes rarely go bad. You have a bad connection or something on the circuit board that is breaking down due to the temperature change . Probably an easy fix. Not something an unqualified person can do though. Your local shop should fix this for about $60-100.
