Pentax K3 white balance not functioning correctly. It differs depending on mode of use. Only seems to operate correctly in Green mode. An example is that completely different result when set on shade between shutter and aperture priority mode.

You sure you did put the camera to fully automatic? Because I don't know what model you have, I can't check the manual, to see if you could adjust the white balance. It has not much to do with ISO, but with white balance. Sure you did not select something like scene inside. or scene in tungsten?

there are advanced color correction modes,
Blue or dark pictures/videos
Keep your shooting distance inside of 2ft to 3ft, depending on
visibility and ambient light.
If you are using only one light, considering adding another light
(dual lights) or/and external flash accessory. The ideal
set-up is a combination of a light plus flash.
Consider purchasing the SeaLife Wide Angle Lens (SL975). The
fisheye lens allows you to get closer to the subject and fit more
into to picture frame.

For SeaLife camera with external light accessory (No external flash):
1) Set the camera's scene mode to Sea mode or Snorkel mode
2) Change camera's PHOTO and VIDEO White Balance
settings to DAYLIGHT.
For SeaLife camera with external light and flash accessories:
1) Set the scene mode to Ext. Flash mode
2) Change the VIDEO White Balance setting to DAYLIGHT.
For other underwater camera brands:
1) Set the Scene mode to "Auto" or "Underwater" scene
mode, as recommended by the camera manufacturer.
2) You may also need to change the White Balance setting to
DAYLIGHT depending on the camera's underwater color
correction or if pictures/video turns out red.

You haven't stated which model you have, but on Pentax models "green mode" is an auto-everything mode. You just point the camera, adjust the zoom and the camera chooses everything else. As a result it does not allow access to almost all other functions.

Not all functions are available in all modes: you'll find similar restrictions when using any of the scene modes which your camera is likely to have, but for most of them you'll have fewer restrictions. You get maximum control in manual mode, and a very slightly less in aperture priority mode (the choose the aperture, the camera selects the correct matching shutter speed) and also in shutter priority mode (you choose the shutter speed, the camera selects the correct aperture). Program mode chooses the aperture and shutter speed for you, but allows you to retain full control of everything else and also to adjust the balance between the pre-selected shutter and aperture settings whilst maintaining the same exposure level. These modes are labelled P,A, S, M on those camera function dials which support these modes, your may or may not have them.

remove the batteries and the memory/SD card. replace the batteries first. power up the camera (this will help save your pics from possible deletion). If you can get to the menu of your camera, here is where you'll find the 'green mode'. check the settings. if its on, turn it off. after saving, reload your SD card and try to take another picture.

Custom white balance can only be set in P, Tv, Av, or M modes. The auto modes are, well, automatic. They are all preconfigured and intended for ease of use not configurability.

1.first switch off the camera
2.then take out the battery
3.clean the inside with a dry and clean cloth
4.again switch on the battery
5.try to select the white balance option again
6.if not,do the process again
it will surely work

Check the WHITE BALANCE settings and the COLOR EFFECTS settings (marked as W. BALANCE and COL. EFFECTS when MENU is pressed).

When you got to the MENU setting, press up or down arrow until you reached either selection, press the left arrow, and you'll see several options under the selected function. In WHITE BALANCE, there's an option whether you'll be shooting under sunny or cloudy skies, tungsten or flourescent lighting, and an option to select Auto or Manually set White Balance. This affects the over all color tone as it compensates the color correction depending on your shooting conditions. Fluorescent lighting for example exhibits blue spectrum, thus setting White Balance to FLUORESCENT will add warm or yellow tones to the photo. Tungsten lighting and sunny conditions exhibits yellow lighting, and setting to the White Balance on this mode will add cool or bluish tone to the picture.

Same with COLOR EFFECTS: settings include WARM, COOL, SEPIA or BLACK AND WHITE (gray scale).

Chances are, you have accidentally set the WHITE BALANCE or COLOR EFFECTS to any of these. To see if this is the problem, try shooting under SIMPLE MODE (Marked with a HEART icon at the rotary dial on top right of the DMC-FZ7). If the problem goes away, then it is with the WHITE BALANCE and the COLOR EFFECTS settings. Try setting the COLOR EFFECTS to "OFF", and the WHITE BALANCE to "AUTO".

Well either the relase switch has failed or another projection device has stalled it. Check through you menu of the back screen to be sure and then call Pentax technical support on thier web site.

Auto Picture-selects on of the picture mode such as landscape(mountain), macro(flower), sport/action(running man) mode, etc. P-sets shutter and aperture. You set everything else. happy face- sets shutter, aperture and everything else.

Color reproduction differs depending on the lighting conditions. For instance, when daylight, the setting sun or indoor lighting is reflected on white paper, the shade of white produced will be slightly different for each. By setting the WB (White Balance), you can achieve more natural-looking color. You can also preview different color tones by trying the different settings under the actual light source, and checking the result on the viewfinder and monitor. You can choose mode from Auto, Preset 1, Preset 2, Custom, One-touch, and White balance compensation.
