Why can't I go to facebook page on my laptop?

Try connecting to a different website. If unable to connect to other sites it is your internet connection which is the problem. If able to then problem is with Facebook.

Try a different Browser you can get them at:

Ninite Install or Update Multiple Apps at Once

Does it say "page cannot be displayed?" Or does it say "Access Denied?" Or does it say "Restricted?"

Can you get to any other website other than facebook?

If access denied or restricted usually means the site is blocked via network security/firewall or you are trying to access a portion of the site that requires login credentials.

If you cannot get to any other website including facebook, you have a network connection issue.

Check cables, recycle the power on your internet connection (DSL modem or Cable Modem) and try restarting your PC see if this reestablishes your internet connection.

These sort of problems are usually caused by malware (Virus or Spyware) I would suggest that you try to setup your router again using the Router installation disc.

your computer is slow i get it but have you got AVG its the solution and that facebook page might not be the right facebook page so i suggest to you that get another pc or laptop xx

Hi Kathryn, it may just be that facebook's servers are overloaded or some wider-network issue so your PC cant establish a connection with facebooks servers. Perhaps you can just wait for a few hours or try again tomorrow to see if there are any changes.
In the meantime, try downloading any updates for your browser (I suggest using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome over Internet Explorer) and then try again. It may just be a browser issue that gets in an endless loop trying to load some parts of Facebook's page, and an update of the browser should fix the problem.

1.check your internet connection make sure you have entered correct i.p address in the internet protocol properties.Make sure that windows firewall is not blocking or restricted to only a certain level i.e "Don't allow exceptions " is not ticked.Also Be rest assuered that your Antivirus if any installed is not filtering content coming from outside to an exceptionally high level {check your antivirus preferences}
2.Make sure wire is connected to the LAN port of your laptop if using wired or wifi enabled.Do check that network LAN card/device drivers are installed and enabled
3.the problem may be with your network see i think your computer is not able to recieve all of the packets needed or required to view a page there may be a possibility that your LAN has limited or very low speed {server problem}see the point is that this means that there is a break of network connection while processing your request again and again possible reasons for this is server in a down state.Don't worry this will be solved automatically in few hours or maximum in a day and you will be able to enjoy internet
Please take the steps one by one and continue checking in between the problem will be solved in one of the three ways given above

Is this your home internet or are you connecting through your business internet? When is the last time you were able to connect? try going to other facebook pages by googling it first. May also just be an issue that will be solved in a little time.

My suggestions to fix this are as follows:

1.) Make sure your Java is up to date, you can download and updated version from http://www.java.com.

2.) Go into Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, then under Browsing History, click the Delete button, remove temporary files and anything you don't need (MAKE SURE you know your passwords to websites if you click the password box.

3.) All else fails do the same in #2 except go to the advanced tab. At the bottom hit the RESET button to put IE at the original settings.

I have had this happen from time to time and this usually fixes issues including w/ Zygna games. Another item to update is go to http://www.adobe.com and update your flash player.
