If the Samsung TV remote will not operate a Samsung Blueray player, I would say there is something wrong with the Blueray player then, Otherwise if you need a downloadable manual go to the following website and enter the model number you have. i hope that helps : )

SOURCE: HDMI input says "mode not compatible"

If your Playstation is putting out the signal in 1080p then try changing it to 1080i and see if that works. Not all TVs are compatible with 1080p.

Testimonial: "Don't know how I never considered that the PS3 output settings would have been the problem. I was so fixated on the TV settings that I completely overlooked the PS3 setup! That was outstanding advice!"

I'm trying to watch a 3d movie in my blue ray 3d

First off is your TV a 3D TV. If it is you should be able to go into the menu setting (or on the remote) and change the display from regular TV to 3D. Then your 3D blu-ray player should recognize it.

Try to make use of the yellow video cable, the cable that is part of the RCA cable and try to set the TV to AV1 as soon as the video cable is connected from your BD player to your TV. Turn on your Bd player and you can now set the TV to its correct resolution. Best thing also to reset oyur bd player back to its factory settings.

Just bought blue ray player I have a hitachi plasma tv model pw1 32pd5000 how can I get blue ray to work with tv theres no hd outlet at the back of tv but it is hd compatible

The TV most likely will have component and a DVI connector on it if it doesn't have a HDMI connector. If the Blu-ray player has component connectors on it use them as they will give you up to a 1080i picture which is all this model of Hitachi supports anyway. If the player doesn't have component connections then you can get a HDMI to DVI converter cable so you can connect it to your TV. You will need a cable that looks like this...

Check that the player is set-up in to a mode that is supported by your TV set. You should consult the user manuals of both the TV set and the player to follow through. Another solution which may be easier is to colll the Samsung service support.

The Yamaha RX-V463 AV does not playsound from the blue ray player

"I am also having difficulties in try to display the yamaha set up menu on the tv."
According to the manual the display menu for TV will not work with HDMI hook up.
I also have a Panasonic HD TV and can't get TV sound through my Yamaha AVR on "TV Sound" mode.  Trying to use HDMI cable for this also.  Do I need a digital optical cable or do I not have something set right?

PS3 - green Bar when playing blue ray on my 50" Phillips Plasma

Green bar or border is due to wrong AV Setting. To resolve this just insert the Blue-Ray DVD and begin to play. Press the Triangle button and select "AV Setting", in AV Setting change Video Output to RGB.

GOLDSTAR DVD/VIDEO PLAYER

Remove any discs from the unit. Make sure your tv is on the blue screen. It should say "Progressive Scan Mode"....After removing the disc(s) from the disc changer, close the changer, press and hold the stop button on the unit, not the remote, for 5 seconds or more and it will reset to normal playing mode. Progressive Scan is typically only for TVs that use Progressive Scan....most normal TVs do not use progressive scan mode. Hope this helps...It worked for me!!!!
