There is a slot on the camera, usually for a microSD card. Make sure that a card is inserted in the slot, that the card has been pushed down until it clicks into place and locks, and that the card size inserted is supported by your camera. Then check your camera setup menu and make sure that you don't have to format the card for your camera. These operations are covered in the manual.

There might b sd card mounting problem.. try using ur sd card in any other device and see if it works.. if it does not, there is little u can do. apps are avaiable on android market to resolve sd card problems and revover data. however, if it works fine in other device and only shows problem wid the cam, it might b that the device does not support the sd card, ie. the storage capacity is too large to be mounted by the device-.

Laptop running Windows7 previously mounted Nikon D70 (camera) as Mass Storage Device but, stopped recognising it. Camera sees laptop?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Nikon Transfer.

My vivicam x024 won't turn on. how do i remove the memory card? will the photos still be on the card if I remove it?

The SD memory card slot in located on the side og your camera. Push the SD card and it will pop out.
The photos are stored on the SD memory and removing it from the camera will not lose the photos stored on this SD memory card.
Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into anUSB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory cardinto the USB port of your working computer. My camera won't save to mass storage

Are you sure it's an SD card? If it's larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in the A300.

You have to change the 'storage' to 'memory card' or 'external card' from 'internal memory' or 'camera' using the camera menu.

Hello, my camera is 3 yrs old & its been fine. After taking a couple of shots the other day when I turn it on it makes a bleeps & seems to be trying to set the focus then the screen is just blank...

Hi berny_hayes,

This problem can be solved by reinstalling the software which is inbuilt in the camera, possibly a new firmware version which could also have some additional bug fixes.

The software can be installed only by an authorized Olympus service center, and it's risky to handover the camera to a local service center for reinstalling the software as this could damage the camera further if it has been worked on without any professional caution.

I would suggest you to try out the below tips before submitting the camera to an authorized service center.

  1. Check if the camera is on the internal memory mode or memory card storage mode, if any of these two volumes is full and is the active storage medium, the camera won't allow any additional pictures as a result of low disc space.
  2. Check the camera with a different battery , possibly if you can borrow it for testing from your friends or colleague , so this would give you a sure idea that it's not a battery problem.
Hope this helps ..:) Your feedback would be appreciated.
