There will be small seals or "O" rings in the pump shaft cover. Manual details will be on the net but best if you have a case technician repair it as it will be done quickly and properly.

I replaced the injector pump now My ZD28 kubota starts at wide open with black smoke coming out the exhaust and throttle does not work.what could be going on

If your Kubota ZD28 is starting at wide open throttle with black smoke coming out of the exhaust and the throttle is not working, it could indicate a problem with the fuel system or throttle linkage.
Here are a few potential causes to consider:
  1. Incorrect injector pump timing: If the injector pump was not installed correctly or the timing is off, it can cause the engine to start at full throttle with black smoke. You may need to re-time the pump to resolve this issue.
  2. Clogged fuel injectors: If the fuel injectors are clogged, they may be supplying too much fuel to the engine, causing it to run at full throttle with black smoke. You can have the injectors cleaned or replaced to fix this problem.
  3. Faulty throttle linkage: If the throttle linkage is not properly adjusted or is broken, it can prevent the throttle from working properly. Check the linkage to ensure it is properly connected and adjusted.
  4. Air intake system: Check the air intake system for any blockages or leaks. If the engine is not getting enough air, it can cause it to run at full throttle with black smoke.
It's important to address this issue promptly, as running the engine at full throttle can cause damage to the engine and other components. If you're not comfortable diagnosing and fixing the issue yourself, it's best to take your Kubota ZD28 to a qualified technician who can diagnose and fix t

I have a 580SE backhoe bogs down when you put a load on the motor, hyd.fine, trans , shuttle fine ,he'd injector pump, rebuilt, lift pump replaced, new injectors, you can here a miss ,what's wrong

I had a case tractor with a 4 cylinder diesel, dual heads, in-line cylinders. It had a similar symptom. Turned out to be a cracked head. Only one of the two. Water pump had previously failed, this led to overheating and cracking of the head.

I have installed a new starter on my 580C backhoe When I turn the starter switch it will not engage wheel and just akes a whirring sound Have taken it out and reinstalled it but get the same results

I can talk to you in automotive terms, I know nothing about a backhoe.
I can usually lay the starter motor on the ground, hook up jumper cables properly from starter to battery, at the least, it should kick out the starter drive gear and spin. If it doesn't kick out the drive gear, starter is faulty. I don't know if starter solenoid sits on top of starter motor? I replace as an assembly. Did you check flywheel teeth? I've never worked on a backhoe.

I have a 1989 Case 580 backhoe tractor. I am interested in increasing the horsepower. It has a mechanical turbo. Can you help me?

Can you tell me which injection pump you have on your 580K. It could use a robert bosch or a C.A.V. Let me know I will help you. One thing you need to know, with a cav pump the engine will not have much torque rise in power. The engine is a powerhouse that runs hydraulic pumps at full throttle. This is a full throttle tractor that should run that way all time .If you are trying to back up hill at say half throttle ,it will not do it, try First gear full throttle. Remember the tractor with bucket and backhoe weight is about 16000# . I do not think adjusting the fuel delivery will help this tractor.

580c case backhoe front bucket is weak and slow goingup

Valves not sealing in the remote control block could be the problem or ram seals.

I have a 953 track loader the throttle shaft on the injector pump is leaking oil do i have to replace the injector pump

Bad O-ring on shaft. You may be able to do it yourself, but definitely not a complete pump unless you have a cracked pump or serious injection performance problems thus bad engine performance. Double check pump shaft. area. may need to remove a cover to the drive. Usually, there is a diesel return line I suppose there is a slim chance that is pinched or plugged somehow. Check to make sure it's clear. Possible that supply line to Injunction pump is leaking at the connection, also usually a bad O-ring. Find a leak by
wraping a paper towel in places to discover the leak. Or there is
a black light kit with dye to discover leaks.

Can I Replace The Throttle Shaft O Ring Without Removing The Injector Pump On Pergeot 405 Diesel To Stop Fuel Leak

I have done this before a few times, you can remove the top of the pump in situ. It is very awkward to put the top of the pump back on though. but can be done:)

My 1965 turbocharged John Deere 3020 started last week but I couldn't get it to throttle up past idle. I shut if off to investigate and now it won't start. Throttle linkage is fine. Fuel lift pump seems...

Try looking to see if the fuel-shutoff is working, open only one fitting instead of two injectors. Check the glow-plugs or intake heater if applicable. You can put an in-line electric fuel-pump in place. This can help you find out if there is a hidden fuel-leak, system loosing its prime, or bad lift-pump. If this still doesn't help then you may want to dig deeper and see if the shaft broke on the injection pump. Remember to mark the pump so you put it back exactly where it was. Rule of thumb is to set the timing to TDC on cylinder #1. Mark the gears with ink or white-out. and the injection pump case too. Let me know how its going.
