I HAVE A FLAT SCREEN TV ( SAMSUNG) WHEN PLUGGED IN THE POWER BUTTON FLASHES ON AND OFF BUT DOES NOT SHOW A PICTURE WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH IT?

LEFT IT UNPLUGGED COUPLE WEEKS BUT STILL CONTINUES TO GIVE ME SAME RESULTS. I WAS WATCHING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT POWERED OFF AND WAS NEVER ABLE TO WATCH THAT TV AGAIN

SOURCE: red light on power button flashes, but no picture....blank screen

I would suspect a problem in either the backlight assembly, or the power supply that drives it. If it's the power supply, the part may be over $100.

I think what you are describing is a form of line paring which is caused by a defective IC in the video circuit those inputs are feeding. Post a email link ad I will send a pic of a screen that has this problem and you can let me know if thats what your experiencing.

This is very common in Samsung DLPs. The DMD board is going bad. You will need to replace it.

The TV does not show a picture and the power button flashes red. It will not turn off...the only way to turn it off is to unplug it...once it is plugged back in it will turn on, but the power button...

Hi:
This is and indication of a bad power suoply and or main board, but the most common culprit is the power supply, have the capacitors check on the power supply for swollen tops and have them replaced.

My tv just changes colors when I turn it on with no picture, no of the buttons work on the remote or tv, what is the problem

Your TV is in the service mode. Just try one of two things to correct this. With the original remote, press the cursor button left, followed by pressing the right cursor button. Now shut the TV off. When you power up your TV it should be fine. The second thing to try is to press the cursor button up, followed by pressing the cursor button down. Power off the TV. Now power it up and it should be fine. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

I have a samsung ln40a530 tv that was working fine. The picture just went out, the screen looks black like the tv is turned off but it does power on cause when I push the power button the light flashes...

this looks like a defective capaciter problem take your tv to a samsung service center and they will repaire it for free
